Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
Damn, you cleaned up. I thought I was lucky when I pulled 2 Drogskol Reavers from my DA fat pack. Oddly enough, even though I rarely do limited events, that's usually where I get my best cards. At the sealed tourney at Gottacon, I got a Sorin, Moonveil Dragon, Bloodgift Demon, and a Beguiler of will...

Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
I've been thinking about putting together another Commander deck. The only workable deck I've been able to make so far a B/R/G with Kresh, the Bloodbraided as my commander. It works fairly well, at one point I was at 68 life with Kresh sitting at 52/52, but then my deck just stalled, and I ended up ...

Yeah, the only place for years was Imperial Hobbies, which sucks balls. Now there's a couple of places at the malls that have opened up. One of which stocks Unhinged which makes me very happy.

Yeah, I'm in the ass end of it. The only things further south are farms and warehouses. When I was in high school (which was a few years ago, mind) pretty much all anybody did was play basketball or got stoned.

Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
I've been mulling over getting MtGO, since most of the people I play magic with live in other cities (my city is pretty devoid of geeks), but I can't really justify the cost since I'm kinda broke right now. I think the best thing I did when deciding to play Magic was buying a couple treasure boxes f...

Last PAX I picked up a playmat with this image on it stupid cheap on the the last day.
It's a lot darker on the mat, though.

I saw some postulating a few weeks back where someone was thinking Avacyn would have flying, vigilance, lifelink, and deathtouch. While that would have been pretty cool, this is way better. Also, my first commander deck was mono-white, but white is easily the weakest colour in my collection so it wa...

I don't believe we hat quite reached haturation point yet, though playing TF2 may have desensitized me somewhat, as seeing people wearing up to three hats at once is commonplace. Also: I cannot wait to see the rejected stories for this week, should there be one.

I posted this to the Facebook wall of the video, but I felt I had to share it here as well: the talk of Dutch music reminded me of this song http://youtu.be/tz1aZq3axgg

Re: On the Run - Vuvuzela Volcano
I never had science fairs at my school either, but in grade 4 science we each had to demonstrate a scientific concept. I called dibs on acid & base reactions. Despite the fact that we only had to show the basic facts, with little elaboration, I was gonna make a volcano dammit. I went all out and...

I'm going to edit out Morgan's line of "make it entirely face punch" and do...something with it. I have not laughed that hard at anything in a LONG time. **EDIT**: I made the clip, and was planning on making a 10 minute loop of Edward getting punched in the face, but a cursory glance at cl...

Man, I was to slow on the draw making the gifs. though, I made mine an infinite loop of Graham and Alex flipping out, and then a separate one of them thrusting. I find it far more amusing to watch that way.

Good to see another Phailhaus, though hearing about Kathleen's stolen stuff was a bit depressing. One thing I want to mention though, is that the most manly way to break up chocolate is with either a 10-pound (or larger) sledge hammer, or explosives. It just makes sense.

The extra caps would have been nice, but I've never been hurting for them anyways. It was more me being pissed of that I did exactly what the game wanted and I got in shit for doing it wrong.

Here's a video of the song Matt mentioned. It's not by the original artists, but the silliness of the animation adds to the song in my opinion.

Spiking Eulogy Jones' head to the wall was one of the most gratifying experiences I've ever had in any game. Watching Deathclaws run straight into bottlecap mines is right up there, too. I have taken issue with the number of bugs I've found in the game, since I seem predisposed to finding them. I do...

Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings of the Lost Ocean Easily my favourite RPG on the 'cube. It has a pretty clichéd story, and the voice acting ranges from pretty good to absolutely horrible, but it has one of the coolest battle systems I've ever played and a FUCKING AWESOME soundtrack. (One caveat to the c...

Rule 1. ALWAYS GET THE BLOODY MESS TRAIT. Perhaps this is true in Fallouts 1 & 2, but it's not so great in 3 I'm afraid. It actually caused me to not be able to get full credit on the "You gotta shoot 'em in the head" quest, because apparently having the limbs fly off made the game no...

Also, we eat lobster. We don't eat scorpion . My chain thus shows scorpion as clearly superior. Scorpion is eaten in some areas of the world. Hell, you can get scorpion lollipops in parts of the States. Also: daddy longlegs technically aren't spiders. The kingdom, genus and all that other stuff is ...

At the end, when Paul pushes the lime-ade, I fully expected Andy to either blow chunks or punch Paul in the face. Having Andy shout "I LOVE LIMES!" was completely unexpected, and made me laugh till my sides hurt. Hilariously written, and great cinematography as well. I do have one question...
