Re: MLP Mafia - Game Over - Ponyville Wins!
Granted I died halfway through, but this was a blast, I do believe though that the lack of a time limit was an issue as day 2 showed. Other than that, a great game and I wasn't killed by Jack, which is pretty much unprecedented.

When is a planned TPK justified?
So I've tried my hand at DM'ing for some pointless and stupid reason. The first session went fine, a bunch of kobolds ambushed the party and kicked their teeth in, knocking out one party member and bringing another down to single digit HP, and the party ran away. The second session things went compl...

I was trying to suggest that I was Rarity, without coming right out and saying it, but yeah, I'm Rarity.

Re: MLP Mafia - Day 2
If we are so foolish inclined to kill me, I would ask two things of you.
1) Make my funeral gown as fabulous and glorious as possible
2) Tomorrow make that horrid little dragon pay

Re: MLP Mafia - Day 2
Hey now, I wasn't suggesting anything as rash as that, I'm just saying that I don't trust you and was really hoping someone would come forward with more information. The fact that your defence was to go straight for the jugular does not put me at ease in the slightest, nor allay my suspicions

Re: MLP Mafia - Day 2
Well, yes, frankly. I mean, I have no solid evidence, apart from the fact he is a dragon. But something doesn't sit right with me. I'm hoping though, someone has something more solid.

Hell yes I'm hiding, I mean Twilights dead, the Mare's dead, and I still don't trust that baby Dragon. It looks weird, and who ever heard of a dragon breathing green flames anyway, its unnatural

Re: Venting Thread Delta - Now With Easy to Follow Rules
So my car just exploded. One tiny hole in the water pipe means I'm out a car for three weeks and out of pocket by the looks of it 600 dollars. This is in the middle of me looking for, and subsequently getting rejected from, a job, and agreeing to take children to school every day.

Re: MLP Mafia - Day 1
The problem is that if we take no action, we face the same dilemma of no information tomorrow with, presumably, one less pony. But if we take action today, while we may find our villain, we will more likely hit an innocent. As much as I hate it, I'm more in favour of a active hunt, rather than sitti...

Re: Describe your last tabletop session
So I've just come back from a session I've just joined with some mates. The party is a elven wizard, a dwarven fighter, a monk who was human, but is now an talking eagle who can punch with fire damage (not too sure how that happened), and a dwarven paladin of beards (basically replace all evil abili...

Well, things just took a dark turn, although the idea of painting all the houses in town red does have some appeal.

Re: PARANOIA MAFIA DAY-CYCLE 7
This was a cool idea. Personally I love the concept of a massive conspiracy based game like you had in mind. But I think everyone's first thought when they saw they were mafia was, hide and do not arouse suspicion because that will lead to doom. So I wasn't messaged by anyone, nor did I feel safe en...

Re: Bards bards everywhere and not a drop to drink.
Going off D&D 3.5, the only D&D I know. There is no reason this shouldn't work. Bards can be pretty much anything you need them to be. While they're not going to be the best in their respective fields, for example even a poorly played mage will beat a bard in spell casting, four of them shou...

Re: Code of Lawful Evil
I'm not sure if it's changed in your version of things, but the 3.5 Core paladin has a code of conduct that actually outright forbids association with characters of evil alignment. Not sure how hard-and-fast that'll be applied though. I'm guessing its going to be played pretty straight given the DM...

Re: The depressing depression thread
I am not a good person. I'm overweight, unemployed, generally pissed off, a dick to my friends, and a general drain on society. I understand this, I understand that I'm not healthy and I understand the mentality of, "he's in a bad place, he needs my help." I see no problem with this, when ...

Re: Code of Lawful Evil
I like that noble demon idea, after losing 12 hours to TV tropes damn you Memo, plus having a code forbidding things and trying dodge and duck around my own laws has a nice ring of evil to it. I'm thinking along the lines of: 1) Do Not Kill More Than Necessary 2) Do Not Kill Those Following the Law ...

Re: Code of Lawful Evil
"Never telling a lie" is a fun one, I think. Just because you can't tell a lie doesn't mean you have to tell the truth, it just makes the Bluff skill more interesting. :) While I love the idea of being a deceitful man who doesn't lie but twists and turns the truth that it makes roller coa...

Code of Lawful Evil
So I'm starting with D&D group, they need a rogue type character, and I've been wanting to play an assassin for a while. The assassin class requires you to be 'any evil'. My thinking is that given the rest of the group are apparently various shades of good, going with Lawful Evil and having a co...
