Yeah, all writing numbers on his mirror and lining up sushi so no two identical sushis are on a horizontal or vertical line or the same thing with coins and such like. Spinning around as a cloud of numbers float above his head.

Hmm. It would be best if it was someone else in Victoria. And there'd have to be a neutral party to document the two teams' progress.

There's no way you can challenge him to a movie-off? Each contestent has a week to make a short video based on a randomly picked video game (revealed like the secret ingredient in Iron Chef) and the winner is picked by a panel of celebrity judges. But of course, this is more an attempt to use his ow...

That would be a take off of the joke warfare from Monthy Python Not deliberately, but using a similar logic. This could be viewed as a prequel, as its focus is on the creation of the bad movie, rather than its application, which was the focus of the Python sketch. Special effects-wise, though, it m...

DO: The Sam Raimi DON'T: The Uwe Boll I would mostly worry that making fake clips from a video game movie would stretch your production values even more than cable access did. Because it has to look bad, but it also has to look like you threw some money down a hole to make it look that bad. Probably...

The trouble with doing it as "X ways to Y" is that the Sam Raimi always makes a movie better. Perhaps the LRR labs could develop the worst video game movie ever, list all the things they did to make it bad. When they then play the completed movie for a test viewer, it proves to be deadly, like the l...

Good stuff. Minor criticism. It gets a little repetitive when you always cut away to the shot of the snake poster the same way. I think later on, when you're speeding up, you should have started going with more L-cuts to the posters and back. Also, maybe have the pictures zooming in or out, focusing...

Question about audio

How do you adjust the levels for your audio? I was watching CDAA and Black Box, and sometimes stuff like the stamping sound was so loud that it seemed out of place. I've heard some rules of thumb like keeping things peaking around -6 decibels. What's your approach, I'm wondering?

It could also be a new spin on Spam Theatre. I'm am work, so I can't go verify this, but I think all the old Spam Theatre had only one character at a time. But if you divide the spam into dialogue for two people, it'll be just as nonsensical as "Peas and Carrots," but it has an extra layer to it.

LRR "how to"

Maybe a "Dos and don'ts" of the making of Loading Ready Run, or an instructional video showing some of the important things you've learned about how to make short videos.

It would amuse me, though I don't know how much it would limit your audience/ turn it into one big in-joke.

Timing is everything

Okay, this thread was inspired by the comments in Pachinima on whether one portion was "too long" but if they shortened it, the viewers would feel stiffed because the video was shorter than usual. Two recent videos where I personally would have felt fine if they were shorter would be "Street Value" ...

The video would have been fine if it ended then but that would have been MUCH shorter than your other videos so the viewer would feel that they'd have been cheated out of something, That would be a bad reason to extend something. I expect the "viewers" would appreciate a short good movie to a long ...
