Re: The Easter Thread!
We always had the plastic eggs and we dyed hard boiled ones and had an easter egg hunt. my mom would also put money in some of them. We also had to search the house in the morning to find our Easter baskets that had small presents and candy. This year, my mom visited me and yesterday we went shoppin...

I heard that the next episode will be aired tomorrow?
But seriously, that episode was awesome. I can't wait for the next episode! The new aliens were freaky and i'm seriously wondering how they're going to resolve everything

Re: Elisabeth Sladen has died.
This is so sad! I just started watching the old Who starting with 4. It makes it hard to watch knowing she isn't around any more.
I hadn't realized she had cancer, considering she had the Sarah Jane Adventures. Was the show finished, or were they working on it when she passed?

We still get similar things in Pennsylvannia where it does snow in the winter and yet gets humid and hot in the summer. I don't think they're the same thing, but we do call them centipedes. We also get stink bugs, evil, evil stink bugs. They're everywhere!!!

So my vent about the wifes father, who here after I hope everybody feels my hate for... My girl has asthma, a pretty sensitive case too. My axe sets it off as does a decent amount of cig smoke. So she of course has an inhaler she uses. One that, in order to be refilled, she needs to get a check up ...

Pro Tip: Don't get food poisoning/stomach flu in Epcot and miss the fireworks and then not be able to go on the rides the next day... Also, if you're going to Disney World in Florida, you might want to check out Universal Studios as well, because I've heard its pretty kickass and has better rides th...

@GC, is the assignment on what your test is on? Because if so, you could look at as a really good way to study for it. Personally, when I study for tests, I just go over my old homework and assignments. Its probably a lot of work but will be useful. However, if its for a different class... I feel fo...

Or maybe the whole class will be chatting about where we're going for university, and what we're majoring in; of course, she'll pipe up to say that engineering is, you guessed it, a stupid waste of time (and point out why everyone else's is inferior, too). When she does this, just look at her and s...

Ok, this is another research related vent: Stupid stupid equipment! Ok, long, boring story short, I work with biological samples and I look at them using electron microscopy, so they have to be frozen to liquid nitrogen temps (~-185C). Anyway, as if it isn't annoying enough that it has to be submerg...

Whyyyy is this lab sooo cold? We don't even have a door on it, because our lab space is all open to promote "collaboration" but still our little nook is either freezing cold or hot when everyone elses is nice and comfortable? Don't they trust us with a thermostat?

Anything in a romantic comedy. Guy meets girl, they don't like eachother/he likes her friend/etc, they spend lots of time together (usually set to a musical montage), they fall for eachother, guy fucks up, girl breaks up with him, he makes some stupid overly romantic gesture and they live happily ev...

Were we supposed to know that the burlesque thing was part of her imagination the whole time? Did you miss the first 10 minutes or whatever? The mental hospital is pretty clearly left behind in favour of the imagined reality at about the 10 minute mark. -m I realized it was different, but I had no ...

I just saw Sucker Punch today, and I have to admit, I was pretty confused. Were we supposed to know that the burlesque thing was part of her imagination the whole time? I was really confused as to why a mental hospital was hosting shows and whatnot, and where the guy's mustach went.... Otherwise, I ...

Does your supervisor have a credit card for travel expenses you can book hotels on? That's what we do. Re: Paul (the film, btw)
I quite enjoyed Paul. It was funny, touching and had just the right amount of vulgarity. I thought the actors did really well and the sci fi references weren't too out there or too easy to get. I laughed out loud quite a few times and I would definitely see it again. So in my opinion, its a good mov...

I think theres a difference between pronouncing something with a dialect, and pronouncing something wrong. For example, if you say the word chameleon with a 'ch' sound instead of a 'k' sound, you're saying it wrong. (yes I did just watch the newest episode of HIMYM....) However, if you say Pah-sta i...

Oh man, I read her Chrestomanci books multiple times when I was younger... Its always so sad when an author dies because you don't get the thrill of reading anything new from them, unless its published posthumously....
