Re: Science Questions

I did some reading up on primordial black holes (they formed shortly after the big bang and without stars being involved), and lucky me; they can be of any size and while they lose more mass due to Hawking radiation then normal black holes; they are still around to this day. So I might not even need...

Re: Science Questions

Of course not. I'm looking for a scenario that would render most of the solar system in ruins; turning making all the rocky planets either uninhabitable by fire, or having their solar orbit altered enough so that humanity is forced to look elsewhere for survival. And then I remembered the scenario I...

Re: Science Questions

That's a thought. I skimmed through the wikipedia article on Hawking Radiation -and while all the math escapes me- it does confirm what you said. And a Black Hole formed moments after the big bang would lose energy/mass faster then one created from a dead star. So I guess that is a way the scenario ...

Re: Science Questions

Ok thanks. I guess I could work with 2-3 times the solar mass. I asked because of a story idea I had (some of my previous questions in this thread has been related to that as well) which I based on a scenario that was on a science show over a decade ago. It depicted a small black hole entering the s...

Re: Science Questions

Been a while since someone was interested in science it would seem. So I'm wondering what the smallest mass a naturally occuring (and stable) black hole could contain. Technically any object could turn into a black hole if compressed far enough, but as far as I know these are just theoretical black ...

Re: Looking for a song

Would it by chance be "Hey pretty girl" by Kip Moore? That's what came to mind when you said slow song and you heard it recently. Nope but now you've made me question my own memory as to whether or not it was 'little' or 'pretty'. And now I'm questioning my whole reality. The Black Kids -...

Re: Looking for a song

none of them either. If it helps; it's a very slow/calm song, and I Think the 'Hey Little girl' is only in the song for like one line, so it might not have anything to do with the title

Looking for a song

In 2007 I Heard a song used in a trailer for a tv show, and since then I've been trying to find that song. I never knew any of the lyrics so I didn't have anything to go on other then that it sounded like a 1980s song. Then the other day I Heard the song again, but I only caught like one line of the...

I dare not touch my backlog. If I were to do what you did I wouldn't be able to play any new games until 2020

Re: So I was thinking about taking a journey across Canada

We'll have to see. the journey was more the point then the actual stops along the way. In any case this won't be happening this year but probably the next. When I looked at the map my idea was basically to skip any stops in Ontario and just take a train through it. Nothing against the province but f...

Re: So I was thinking about taking a journey across Canada

So I have been told. Also I don't mind the long traveling time, nor the fact that it is mostly forest. As for the cost; well its not really that big of an issue... just not planning to pay 5k for a train though

Re: So I was thinking about taking a journey across Canada

I'm not saying it would be limited to 2 weeks. I could go on further but then I think I would have to put it off until next year (which given how little time I have left before my vacation starts; might be the best option).

So I was thinking about taking a journey across Canada

(well 'mostly' Canada). So for a few years I've been toying around with this idea of mine without ever taking it seriously until now, and with my vacation coming up in about a month; time for actually making this thing come true is getting a bit... low. The idea was not to go to one place but rather...

Re: Kerbal Space Program

Things I've learned from playing 1.0 Having a ship falling straight down is now lethal as it might not be able to slow down fast enough for you to be able to land safely. best to come in at a slight angle so that you have to pass through more atmosphere before touching down. Heat shields are require...
