Re: Heroes Unlimited Play By Post?
If you're going to attempt it again, I'll need two more Mechanical Engineer rolls with the same targets. Failing one of them will mean I'll roll on a "Prototype Quality" table to determine the chance of misfire, while failing both will mean that it's left in a non-functional state when the...

Provided they agree, it should be possible to do that without spending more than a few minutes - so yes, you definitely can. =)

Re: Heroes Unlimited Play By Post?
Between yourself and Karli, you're able to get the initial prototype built, but something seems kind of off. With problematic frequency, when you pull the trigger, it dumps all its pressurized air without actually spraying the chemical you wanted it to. Karli puts forth the theory that it could be a...

Re: Heroes Unlimited Play By Post?
While the basic design of a watergun is good, the density of the resin spray proves to be an issue for a plastic product, and the weight distribution makes it unwieldy as an actual weapon. You'll have to invest a little time in making something more durable and better balanced. Fortunately, with a m...

Re: Heroes Unlimited Play By Post?
Hooray for excellent rolls! It's rarely that kind for me. =P So it turns out that following the leads is simply a matter of replicating results. It takes about two hours to gather the materials, tweak the mixes, and test them both. Now, the dispenser portion! The logical place to start would, in the...

Re: Heroes Unlimited Play By Post?
Thanks to your extra preparation, the device turned out much better than you had anticipated. Not only does it function well, but you have comprehensive blueprints and could build another in a fraction of the time if the need arose. Your current version looks a little rough and is bigger than you kn...

Re: Heroes Unlimited Play By Post?
Sounds good. Since you prioritized the signal jammer, I'll assume you want to do that first - Will you spend the extra hours on planning? If so, do you want the penalty reduction or the bonus roll? Whichever you choose, you can use this site for your roll(s). Don't worry about linking to your result...

Re: Heroes Unlimited Play By Post?
Personally, I think a chemical-based immobilization agent would be extremely handy to have. Let's see if my imagining matches with yours: A device, shaped somewhat like a water pistol with two triggers, two tanks, and two barrels. Pulling one trigger sprays a short range resin-like substance that ex...

- It's not really on the way to Calgary, but one of the big tourist attractions in BC is Barkerville, a gold rush-era town. Never been myself, and it'd probably take at least a day out of your trip to see it, but again, if it's up someone's alley, probably worth the trip. Seconded. If you go, be su...

Re: Heroes Unlimited Play By Post?
You could if you'd like, and you don't have to. I had intended to skip right to the players entering the mission area when we finished this step, after which I had figured we'd go for continuous play, rather than something quite this episodic.

So just a couple of little reminder notes - I know we're doing this as a forum game, and it is still designed as a GMed system. If you'd like more information on your surroundings, or what's available to you, please feel free to ask. My job as GM is to facilitate your gameplay experience by weaving ...

For reference for the other thread: Mark 1 Trench Knife . We just need to get Omnicrat in here to start figuring out what sort of devices he wants to try to build. One week isn't a lot of time to work, but with the high quality facilities and some skilled help he should be able to come up with at le...

Re: Heroes Unlimited Gameplay Thread
For Ix: The promised armory was not very large - maybe 100 feet long and 20 feet wide - but it was full of a wide array of strange-looking devices alongside conventional weapons, all laid and labeled on shelves that looked like they'd been taken from a public library. The duplicate lead Dougie throu...

That's an interesting idea. M13 was the one that featured Nicol Bolas as a Planeswalker. If it's Bolas who dies and Ugin who lives, maybe M16 could be a sort of timeshifted version of M13?

Re: Custom cards - Playability assessment
I feel like this would be the best place to inquire - I was just playing Hearthstone, and was wondering how one would cost a card if it were taken straight from one to the other. Specifically: Gnomish Butler - ??? Artifact Creature - Gnome At the beginning of each player's end step, if that player h...

Fortunately, I'm decent with context and I have Google to aid me. You'd like some heavier-duty knives if you might get into a fight with a robot, and (correct me if I'm wrong) possibly a nice set of brass knuckles, too. Duster's the only term I'm not really sure about.
