*Claps for another reader of Dresden Codak* Obviously this is all a secret code. If you read every n-th character of each crew member's post backwards, where n is the number of letters in the maiden name of the depicted crew member's maternal grandmother, it will spell out sections of scrambled inst...

I would recommend one with an internal hard drive. I haven't owned a video camera, so I'm not much help, but a hard drive seems much easier than tapes or discs. Or perhaps one that uses flash memory cards for storage. Actually, I just saw this which is less than $300 Product page here You also might...

I have very diverse tastes. I also can't rank bands so I'll just recommend ones people probably don't listen to. The Dresden Dolls (Brechtian Punk Cabaret) listen Absurd Minds (Industrial/EBM though not really) VNV Nation (Similar to Absurd Minds) Patenbrigade: Wolff (Electro-ambient for tower crane...

The track has to be stopped before it can be edited.
Also, the right track has to be selected.

Ok. Hopefully this is clear. Open VLC. Click File>Open File or press Ctrl+F In the resulting window: Make sure the top tab is set to file. Use the top browse button to find your file. Down at the bottom, where it says advanced options, check stream/save and then click on the settings button. In the ...

I tried to replicate that and I didn't have a problem.
In general though, delete (Ctrl+K) works better.
Also, try edit>select>start to cursor or cursor to end.

I tried mp3mymp3 out, and it wasn't fully functional and it didn't recognize my sound card. Even if it could record, the audio quality would be worse because of the way it is being captured. Audacity is only needed to edit the generated audio files, not to capture the audio. Any sound editor that ca...

Use VLC media player to extract the audio to an ogg vorbis file.
Open this file in audacity and edit it, then export it to an mp3.
Once you have downloaded these, post more details on exactly what you are trying to do and I can write detailed instructions.

Go as a totally obscure character, preferably one that was only mentioned once in the series. That way nobody will be the same person you are, and nobody can argue with you about your appearance because your appearance hasn't been defined. Also, you can look for costumes in a magic shop or go to a f...
