Re: Doctor Who
* The proper term we should be using is technically 'Gallifreyan', but since the new series doesn't seem to make the distinction, I suppose sticking with their terminology is less confusing. I think it's mostly because Gallifrey is gone, so there can be no distinction made in the New Series between...

Re: The Web Comic Industry
Perhaps, but I do often wonder what will happen when they're gone. Once all the big names have died out, retired, or moved on, I wonder what will become of everything. I'm sure many readers will wander off to other comics, but I can't help but imagine that many others will simply stop reading them....

Re: The Web Comic Industry
Ok, how about this: do you think Neil Gaiman has a duty to link to all authors ever who are not as popular as he is? Irrelevant, books and webcomics operate in different environments. And as I specifically stated, it wouldn't require linking to everyone. Relevance: Webcomics, photography, writing, ...

Even PA I didn't read until a friend told me about them. I still have no idea how I found SMBC Comics, but I know it wasn't through any of the big ...

Also, are you a student? If so, you can get educational pricing and around August-September, a free iPod with the purchase of your Mac. Usually. Might get a free iPod, but I remember pricing macs back in January from the school website. With a student discount you're only saving maybe 200 bucks... ...

the iPhone is modeled after a sleek, clean, idea of what the "future" looks like.
I want my future to be post-apocalyptic, cyberpunk, and dirty. Those movies are always more exciting.

Re: But is it Art?
I am not one to criticize art. If someone feels this is the best way to convey what they want to say - so be it. And if someone wants to pay money for it, that is their business. You know, Jillers, for someone that as I recall works in theatre, I find it a tad... ill-advised?... to go out and scoff...

Re: Doctor Who
I'm ok with there being no more Daleks for a while. RTD really over used them: they all kept dying and then coming back. Die, they're back. Die, they're back. It was comical by the end. So, having a break from them? I'm fine with. We have enough to deal with already. As for Rory? I've heard that rum...

Fable 2 (sort of spoilers ahead) There's the part where you get to choose to bring back all the innocent people who died as slaves building the Spire, or to beome rich, or to save your dog. I totally saved my dog. I'd do it again. Yeah, I'm all about saving my dog. QfG5. There's a part where you ha...

Dude. You live in Toronto. Go to the freaking doctor, it's free . Free will still require me to spend at least 2 hours in a waiting room to see a nurse who then may or may not pass me off to a doctor and give me the first on the list solution which will likley be a topical steroid which would not s...

This is nothing new by any stretch of the imagination. It's just that no one wants to sit down and read all that legalese.
It's not literal piracy. I wouldn't even call it piracy. I'd call it legal plagiarism.

Anything by Philip K. Dick. I think he's the most adapted sci-fi author in film history... something like 11 of his stories have been adapted into movies?
