It's not that I'm not offended by Kathleen's scripts, it's that I enjoy them greater because I realize that Kathleen wrote it. Her thought process is so blissfully warped, that I appreciate it all the more. And because she doesn't do drugs (aside from getting really drunk to watch New Moon, but I'd need to drink to survive that experience), I know that it is COMPLETELY organic thinking, and therefore appreciate the talent and skill.

What tak said. I love comedy that's utterly horrible, but so well crafted it can't not be funny, even if you hate yourself for laughing at it. It's also one of the most difficult types of comedy to do, because if anything's out of place and it's not perfect, it comes off as simply horrible and disgusting.

I misspelled "Wiggins" and "Higgins," like a moron. I wonder if that's the only time that's happened.

Boards of Canada, great band. Ambient music FTW. I hadn't heard of the whole origin story, cool. Also, people always mispronounce my last name. It's pronounced as Greg, but it's Greig. Gets annoying... As for tattoos, my friend has a MST3K tattoo on his ankle (the logo), if he didn't have one, I'd get one. 8)

Wine (and Beer) does age in bottle. Producers avoid it because each bottle would then age differently, thus bulk aging is preferred so that it is more uniform.

It's the fact that there is an intelligent comediacally relevant reason for the warped humour that sells it to me. But yeah, when I saw baby tigers getting crushed I though "That's a Kathleen script!"

Wow, I have not listened to a LRRcast in forever! I forgot how much fun they were, and didn't realize how much I missed them. Curious!

They're even more fast-paced and exciting now that you guys are doing, what, 4 videos a week? :B

I'm never really offended by Kathleen's scripts, largely because they often manage to be so blatantly offensive that they're impossible to take seriously. If you toned it down some, it would actually make things worse.

The previous oldest video from writing to production was probably "Morning After", a Johnny Lunchbox script that took two or three years to do.

Matt (and others), the philosophical puzzle you're thinking of has a number of names; the most common is probably the Ship of Theseus. (Also interesting is Hobbes's extension to the paradox, mentioned under the "Greek Legend" section.)

Did they say wine, or scotch? Because scotch does not age in bottle.

I don't like tattoos at all either. I would never get one, and I don't find them attractive on women even a little bit.
Just call me Dylan. It's easier to pronounce.

If I found the right thing, I'd get a tattoo.

I have yet to find such a thing yet, but I'm reasonably confident I'd assuage my needlephobia to get it.

I'd totally get the Planescape: Torment sign on my arm, but I hate pain. Tattoos on girls? They can look awesome. They can look terrible.

I dislike like non-ear piercings more than tattoos. I'm not completely sure why.

The only things I could think of to tattoo would be those that I'd want on me permanently (obviously). I'd considered a religious symbol - such as a simple depiction of the cross - on my chest or something similar, and a Latin phrase I try to live by - Esse quam videri. That one would go inner forearm.

Also, apparently if I wind up joining the Seaforth Highlanders, you're somewhat required to get the regimental seal tattooed on your ankle. I could live with that.

My brother has (in approximate order of when he got them) tattoos: a weird swirly thingy on his upper torso, Drizzt's scimitars taking up the lower 2/3rds or so of his chest, "Live for Nothing, Die for Something" (got that while he was at Battle School) across his arms, some weird eye thing on his upper arm, and a Starfleet combadge in the appropriate position.

I, on the other hand, have none. I would not be averse to getting one though.

Uh, no. Probably refers to some type of 'battle school' of the Canadian Forces, since Gunner's brother is serving with the CF.

As usual, metcarfre is correct. I finally managed to remember the specific facility, LFCATC Meaford, AKA "The Place Where Happiness Goes to Die" (it's in the Wikipedia article, check it). More officially known as a "Battle School", where my brother went after Basic Training for further infantry training.
