Re: LRRcast for Sigma Men
Dave is nothing like those 'men' channels, it's just re-runs of (mostly BBC) comedy.
It's also on Freeview, which isn't the most basic TV system we have, but it will be soon enough, what with analogue being scrapped 'n all.
Long cast is long.

Go go extendo podcast. This gave me something to listen to while shoveling snow and washing dishes, two things I might not otherwise have bothered to do.
Is there still a TGWP for the CEX Podcast pending, or did that get skipped?

Re: LRRcast for Sigma Men
Dave is mostly comedy and Top Gear, it's not really manly.
Bravo is probably the equivalent of Spike though, it's what shows all the Manswers/1000 ways to die/MEN STUFF.
Also, I won a rocketry competition last year and the prize was a trip to NASA, according to one of the flight directors, they're hoping for another man on the moon by 2020.
Not sure if that was just his wish, or if that's actually going to happen.

Interesting: In North America, it's widely regarded as the 'gay' channel, for showing a lot of reality shows and vaguely metrosexual programming.

Re: LRRcast for Sigma Men
Am I the only person who can't get it to download?
Edit: Got it to work. Seems to be an issue with Google Chrome. Huh.

When I tried to download it the first time about 10 player window opened each about 2 seconds delayed off each other. It was like being in a LRR crowd.

Re: LRRcast for Sigma Men
When ever I download any LRR podcast in iTunes, I'll get the first 15% or so fine in seconds, then it will slow to a crawl (as in 5+ hour estimated wait times). Hit pause, hit resume, I get another 15% in a few seconds before it slows to a crawl again.
Oddly, I find that this teasing of a LRRcast, having to babysit it pausing and resuming 5 or 6 times, just makes me want to listen to it more once I do actually get it.

That's why I always use the "Open with URL" function. Nevah fails.

I was really, really trying to get people to make it succinct. Waving to wrap it up etc.metcarfre wrote:I wish there was a "skip Magic talk" button.

Re: LRRcast for Sigma Men
Well I think what you want for a men channel in the UK is "Bravo" that is the manliest channel I know.
"The way you say it is (Con) as in conman and (all) Connall!
