Ask away, got a question about Desert Bus, here's a good place to start.

Hey folks,

There's something I've noticed in a lot of your videos: Who is Steve and why do you blame him for everything?

Also how long did the editing on Suspiciously Good Movers take because it was top notch.

Also also, general congrats on DB5 ;)

Just a general LRR question:

If everything for the next 5 years went perfectly for you, where do you see yourselves in 5 years. (either LoadingReadyRun or yourselves individually).

Oh sweet, an ASKLRR thread. Nice.

First time Asker, long time LRR fan. Loved DB - though I got booted by Kroze for being a bumbling troll on the chat during Day 2, so I stopped watching, but then again, I was being a bumbling troll on the chat, so that's that.

Anyway, how come Tim is in all of LRR's promotional material? Didn't he leave, like, two years ago? He's still prominently featured in your group shot and in ads on the Escapist and such.

What webcomics/Youtube series/other internet content do you follow and would reccomend to the rest of us?

What do you think of GinxTV? Personally, I'm not a big fan, but the weird thing is - why are they on the escapist? They have their own site, which as far as I can tell is trying to be the Escapist site, with review, original content, ect. I mean, I'm willing to give them a chance (Drinking Games on the Escapist improved drastically throughout its run), but I don't think it's the kind of content that the Escapist is really known for.

Also, what do you think of Chris, Kyle, and Dan? (guys from Drinking Games and No Right Answer) Would you ever consider doing something with them if given the chance? And on a side note, is there anyone on the internet who you would like to cameo on something LRR-related?

Hypothetical scenario: Say that a network exec saw your old episodes of commodore Hustle and wanted to make cH into a full-blow, half-hour sitcom about a group of friends making "videos for the internet". Downside is, to do it, you have to move Loading Ready Run videos from the Escapist website to the TV network's site and scale back on the updates of or even entirely scrap content like Feed Dump or Unskippable. In addition, because you're being sponsored by a TV network, your scripts for cH and LRR itself have to go through network censorship and approval, but in return you get a more-than-comfortable living if the show takes off, greater notoriety, and the opportunity to have next year's Desert Bus marathon televised if your ratings keep going up. Would you take that offer, or would you turn it down and let things remain as they are?

This is not really LRR-related, but I...I just need to know. Why are all of Marik's henchmen named Steve?

Also, obligatory Friday Nights question: Any idea yet when it's coming out?

Which members of the crew are big readers, and how many regularly write? What are some of your favourite or most influential books/authors and which, if any, have had a permanent effect on you (for example a change in view, or a message you took from it)?

If you did have a teleporter, what would you use it for? (Other than starting a suspiciously good moving company.)

Rapidfire Questions, Season 2! One word (or phrase) answers, go around the table.

Graham: Fallout 3, or New Vegas?
Kathleen: Chrono Trigger or Xenogears?
James: Dark chocolate or milk?
Matt: Zelda or Peach?
Jer: Liara or Ashley?
Paul: Cherry pie or apple pie?

ALSO: A Formal Complaint was clearly inspired by Monty Python's brand of humor. Why, as fellow sketch comedians, do you think Monty Python has resonated so much over time, and been so timeless?

Finally: What is a smash cut?

Okay, seriously, when the hell is Friday Nights coming out?

To each crewmember: What is your favorite .gif to be created from a LRR video?

Also, what do you hope to see in Dark Ascension?

How did it feel, after five years of Desert Bus, to do two consecutive runs from the same office?
--
Its been nearly a month. How've you been recovering from Desert Bus?
--
Your thoughts on JTV/Twitch, especially in comparison to ustream?
--
Have your experiences with Desert Bus given you an appreciation for the level of work festival and con organisers have to put in?
--
What was the most distinctive event during Desert Bus? This isn't necessarily a favourite moment question (though you can interpret it as such if you prefer), but rather what moment (be it call-in, an auction, a challenge etc) stands out most vividly in hindsight.

Couple of Alex questions, too:

Any special birthday plans this year?
How different would things be if Alex had never moved to Toronto? Would he have, for example, joined the crew earlier?
Given that, as I understand it, the resemblance is stronger between Ken and Ray, if you did another video with your dads would Ken play Alex?

Hopefully these are answerable in absentia (as is likely to be the case).

If you could show one video to anyone at all what video and who would you show it to?

What is the weirdest game that you actually really like?

During DB5 a woman mentioned that she had two stories about Bill's eating habits that no one had heard before, and that she was going to tell them when Bill came. Any chance you could retell those stories for the people who missed them, aka me.

Also what is the back story for the rivalry team Kroze and team Ashton?

I have to ask... do you guys have a teleporter to get to and from the moon? I mean you just make these videos so often

Dark Souls was recently an Unskippable, now is any crew member going to give death a chance and play it? I look forward to that TGWP if one does

Rarely winter: Dear Dr. Graham, Chainsaw sword, Power axe, or Thunder Hammer?

Dear Dr. Kathleen, I'm trying to lose weight, watching back catalogue and seeing all your success is inspiring, whats your secret? did you follow a particular plan I can find?

(Roll for Treats/Rarelywinter)
Did it actually rain while filming the Roll for Treats opening sequence or was that an after effect?
When does sponsorship cross the line into 'delicious fruit pies' territory?
--
(Outbid) I keep viewing this video as a commentary on the various recent sponsored projects (D&D, Friday Nights etc). Am I reading into a non-existent subtext here?
--
(The Tale of Matt Wiggins)
Any other memes and stuff which notably didn't make it into the video from your perspective?
When can we expect the, no doubt highly anticipated, video of Kath Link Vs. Wubbindorf?
--
(Suspiciously Good Movers)
What'd you think of Vigafre's Staggeringly Fast Movers graphic?

How much more involved was the splitscreening (and associated post production) for this video? The splitscreening in Me Again, to cite a recent example of normal splitscreening, didn't look nearly as complex.

In the Talk Like a Pirate LRRcast (which is, to my knowledge, the only previous use of the advert music), you only name checked Nate Dorr without really going into any detail about him or his music. So, what's his story? If nothing else, I'm sure the wiki editors would appreciate having more than a name and some music credits to work with.

Speaking of which, why hasn't that music been used more often? Is a case, much like with 64K and Gibb, of rarity as value?

What the hell, let's have a few more character assassinations, too.

Kathleen:
How long did Kathleen actually live in Chetwynd? Has she ever been back to the place since living there?
It came up during DB5 that Kathleen's had Annika about eight years now (and Khaavren about eleven years). Not incidentally, LRR is eight years old and Kathleen met Graham around the time the site started. So, who came first: Annika or Graham?

Matt:
Will Matt's creepy orgasm noise (as heard in the Bagel Time LRRcast) ever make it into a video?
Will we ever see the highly anticipated video of Matt's wang dangling in front of the camera?
Do Matt's parents still complain about him swearing too much in the podcasts?
Is the theatrical style of speech Matt has adopted in recent LRRcasts intended as a spiritual successor to the way he used to blow the levels all the time?

James:
Given the paucity of their writing credits, are Matt and James at all intimidated by the output of the other crew?
Has James ever gone by Jim, Jimmy or a variation thereof?
Does James still have the metal plate from Those Games We Played? According to a couple of 2009 LRRcasts it was last sighted in the Moonbase Mk II.
Has anyone other than James, Jer or Graham ever edited the LRRcasts?

Jer:
What're Jer's views on the peculiarities of Mallard duck identity and sexual politics?
It's unlikely I know but will Jer's much vaunted cockney accent ever make it into a video?
Has Jer's creative position been filled by any one person or by everyone in the grand collectivist LRR style?
Have the crew seen any less of Jer since he began his sabbatical? From the view of a LRR fan, it doesn't feel like he's been around any less than before.

Alex (inspired by rereading Scott Pilgrim):
What's Lee's Palace like as a venue?
Is Honest Ed's that horrifying in real life?
Is the Casa Loma staircase guardrail actually grindable?

Bill & Morgan:
Would a Feed Dump involving Morgan technically be a Whatever Thing?
What kind of person names their kid Billiam William Giga? (Probably misremembering something there.)

Hopefully, again, these can be answered whether or not the relevant parties are there.
