Is this the reason for the glitches around the 6 minute mark?
I enjoy that the title of this LRRcast is so long that the overlay covers most of the front-page thumbnail.

The title of this LRRcast is epic win.

Actually that sounds vaguely familiar, maybe they mentioned in a previous podcast and I just forgot about it. Thanks.

Re: LRRcast for Parent Teacher Geeks have 720 Jonny Gardes?
I was hoping that the other option abbreviated to LLR.
Re: LRRcast for Parent Teacher Geeks have 720 Jonny Gardes?
Oh I forgot about that part. I have theory:
1) Words with LL are more common than words with RR, so muscle memory makes the former more likely for someone not paying too much attention.
2) I guess it's easier to notice that you have hit 3 letters than you have typed a wrong acronym (shape vs details?)
I don't know why people who actually know the acronym might not just type LLRR though, perhaps the wrong length is so easy to spot they just instinctively hit backspace without actually noticing why it's too long.
I tested the theory as far as finding the number of words with each pair. I don't know how much of a difference it would make taking into account the number of times the words actually get used because I'm too lazy to find those numbers to cross reference.
LL: 8285 - http://www.morewords.com/pair/ll/
RR: 2482 - http://www.morewords.com/contains/rr/
This is assuming that most people typing LLR actually know what the correct acronym is, which may not be the case.

I love watching SC replays. I've tried to time my own games against them; I usually have a barracks by the time the pros are working on their level 2 tech trees (-_-);;. There's a reason I don't play online.

It had always been my understanding that the difference between nerds and geeks is the type of knowledge. Geeks have more of a trivial knowledge, while nerds have more of an applicable, scientific, or academic knowledge.

I think it's funny that you guys (correctly) identified Paul's character (in Some Kind of Geek) as being one of the worst he's played (in terms of assholerie). There were a couple comments in the Escapist forums that were along the lines of, 'yeah, guys like [Matt's Character] are the worst! Liking sports, playing COD, ugh!'
Which was just so... facepalm-worthy. I give up.

The ,1 in Commodore BASIC loading stuff actually means to load the program into memory where the program itself says it should be loaded, as opposed to the BASIC interpreter. Or in other words, actual machine language compiled stuff.
The ,8 is the first floppy drive. ,9 would be the second, if you have it. If that first one is a ,1, that'd be the cassette drive (so ,1,1 is "from the cassette drive, load into RAM where it says to").
You have no idea how much my phone wanted to "help" me with the ,8,1 stuff in this reply.

This. So very much this. Magic drafting is all well and good, but recorded D&D games would be infinitely more entertaining (to me at least). The reason I love the podcasts and Desert Bus is because I think you guys are at your funniest when you're just talking amongst yourselves and being silly. D&D is a great facilitator for that sort of thing, so I can only imagine how much fun that would be to watch.

If you want to, I could transcribe and analyze the Feed Dump jingles and explain what differences and similarities there are, music theory wise

I would love a D&D podcast but a office Magic game would get my views as well. The magic game would be harder to set up though you would kinda need a top down view of the table.
I hate to be creepy stalker guy but the crew is just funny when they interact, and my group of friends like that scattered to the 4 winds. So watching LRR doing stuff is like hanging out in my buddies basement eating cold McDonalds that we got for free because it sat on the line for over 20 minutes while we waited to pick him up after his shift.

I'd watch a DnD podcast... I know/like/miss playing DnD... I've never had an interest in magic. (I might be a rare one among LRR fans)
Not slamming you're magic love though, I just don't watch you're live casts of it... I did watch Friday nights even though it mostly went over my head. (It didn't change my opinion, but I'll watch LRR doing comedy no matter what the setting.)
