My dad and grandmother have both had Bell's Palsy. My dad can't drink from a straw or whistle very well anymore, but he apparently had it really bad* and they're both fine. I certainly hope your case is not as bad, Paul, and that you'll be feeling better sooner rather than later.
*Or he may have had it twice. I was too young to know what was going on at the time.

Time for Pirate sketches! Would that work for the avatar too?
I hope you get better soon, it's great to see you taking it so calmly

Good Luck with the Paulsy, Paul, get well soon.
Also, your music tastes = my music tastes. A hodgepodge of different genres, mostly focused on lyrics so I can sing along (with a few exceptions)

Blankety Blank was a blast to watch.
Hope you recover soon Paul; and to speed things up, here's you with a cyborg mask (that doesn't translate so well to 100px size).

Ooph, having known people with Bell's, my condolences Paul. Get well soon.

Re: LRRcast 2013-03-29
So, one of my guardians when I was growing up got (when I was in elementary or middle school sometime) what we thought was Bell's Palsy. Later, as it worsened, the diagnosis was changed to Multiple Sclerosis, which is what she has now, and has had (not that I think this will be the same for Paul - she was older, a workaholic, and I'm fairly sure MS is at least in part genetic?). Not having looked up Bell's Palsy since, I was really worried until he mentioned the recovery time. I guess in her case, it was a misdiagnosis, since they hadn't figured out the actual cause. BASICALLY I'm glad to hear that you're more or less alright, if inconvenienced for some time.
Also, with the somewhat laconic look it gives you, you look a bit like Seth Green (or specifically the character Oz from Buffy). So that's a plus!

My brain has positively refused not to render a MGS style high tech eyepatch on Paul for the entire episode. I am convinced Paul has some Solid Eye shenanigans going on. It would even fit with his Hustle character -_^
Get well soon Paul.

I've recently started to try and pick up digital drawing (I've been drawing all my life but pen and paper is actually really limiting).
So, here's my stab at Paul; I know it's not actually any good, but I wanted to share it with you guys anyway.

On a lighter note, I'm really glad to see you enjoying the Nicol Bolas I gave you guys. I realized I never really introduced myself to you at PAX I realized, so hi!

Wow. Hope you get better soon, Paul. That sounds frightening, even if it's not painful and goes away after a while.
(I don't typically joke about stuff like this, but since you seem to be in a good humor about it, I'll mention that I thought of someone else with one eye that's always open...)

Pulled off DB tumbler and started to work with this but I need more time than I have. If anyone wants to poke at this feel free.
