I'm glad James enjoyed my question, and I'm a bit curious as to what kind of sketches he envisioned that use a demon LRR member.

I find it ironic that you guys mentioned Homestar Runner. Have you checked homestarrunner.com today?

Also, totally unrelated, did you check the LRR wiki today?

Huh...from Graham's explanation of the FitBit, maybe if I got one my love for data analytics would motivate me to actually exercise one in a while.

I add my deck in with those that have become obsessed with MtG. I started playing it entirely because of the Friday Nights videos you guys started doing oh so long ago.

In response to the last point about how many people who've gotten addicted to MtG in response to you guys, I'd say mostly. I played a long time ago, and between picking up DotP-2014 and your MtG videos, it lured me back in. Specifically what got it started was the BTG teaser card video. RAISED BY WOLVES!

No... so nice of you to go through and delete all the relevant pages, completely removing them as well... so no chance for those of us who were busy all day to laugh at it later. Thanks.

Regarding FTL:
It took me several runs until I got decent.
Then it took me a bunch more runs til I could reliably get to the final battle.
Then it took me a bunch more runs til I could reliably beat the game.
Then it took me a bunch more runs til I got decent on Normal mode.
Then it took me a bunch more runs til I could reliably get to the final battle on Normal.

Steam tells me I've pleyed FTL for 137 hours.

Personally, I can't wait for Advanced Edition, cause it'll mean a whole new set of systems to learn, and get owned by, before I can eventually learn them. :)

While FTL is horrendously difficult and the RNG will frequently make you just lose in one move...I didn't find it any worse than, say, X-Com on Ironman Impossible. The game will beat you down horribly in the beginning, but once you learn the subtleties of the game, you can reliably make progress and the one-hit-ruins-everything events occur less often.

That said, it's certainly not a good game to learn while streaming. After 10-20 hours, I was able to semi-reliably get to the end boss on normal, and I'm generally terrible at these types of games - but those 10 hours were certainly nothing worth streaming. So if it's not something you enjoy playing on your own time, it's not worth playing on stream.

The subtitles? What if I only want the captions?

I hate-love FTL. It's a fun game, but it's suuuuper hard.

To further expand on my post:

FTL is really easy if you use certain ship/strategy combos. For instance, if you're lucky enough to get 4 Burst Laser IIs, the final fight is incredibly easy. Combine that with the Weapon Pre-Igniter, and every other fight is over before it starts.

Trying to win using a missile-focused ship is, IMO, significantly harder, especially considering how many enemies have defense drones, combined with missiles being a limited resource.

I took pictures of it before I did that. I'm probably going to make some sort of April Fool's Day post for the wiki, but I'm not convinced they need to be pages in perpetuity just for an April Fool's Day joke.

Another one here that got into MTG because of LRR.
The original It's Magic video got me to pick it up, but the Friday Nights episodes got me to play more often and actually join a local club.

So yeah, thanks LRR. Because of you guys I have a hobby I actually consistently enjoy and a bank account balance going consistently down ;)
