On the subject of odd place names, I'd like to just namedrop a city in my state, the great state of New Mexico: Truth or Consequences, locally known as T or C. It was renamed as a bad marketing decision related to a TV show of the same name.

Enjoyed this one, just random anecdotes can be a lot of fun to listen to. Also I had no ideas that chemical blueprints were still used :o The process sounds really similar to making Cyanotypes, which are also blue, I guess they're related.

About butter tarts, they are definitely a Canadian thing. I think the closest analogue the US has is pecan pie, and for English desserts, I think the closest would be treacle tart.

My sister discovered this on her own when she wanted to make some. She tried looking a recipe in The Joy of Cooking, which is a very comprehensive (American) reference cook book. There isn't one in there.

Actually, we were trying to think of what foods could be said are distinctly Canadian. We came up with butter tarts, Nanaimo bars, beaver tails, poutine, tortiere, and tire d'érable. Did we miss anything?

The literal version of Meatloaf was awesome however it looks like UMG pulled them from youtube.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF my backup was Call me by Blondie which was also pulled by UMG.

VSQ doesn't have a cover of Chop Suey... I'm batting a thousand here folks.
Have some VSQ Korn Shoots & Ladders instead.

And some Metallica Enter Sandman (Smooth Jazz) for no good reason.

Who needs a topic right! Right? ...

Sherpa

Edit: I found one literal video that still exists from my ancient list of crap
Take On Me

Was Kid Rock performing during American Badass era Undertaker? Would make it make more sense.

Thanks for video.

since it was mentioned. One of the more recent live version of entrance music at a WrestleMania. Just don't get the audience's reaction. Don't think you can because all the videos I see are focused on the band. and this video seems to be the closest view. The others seem to be in the nose bleed section.

I wonder if Graham likes Tomonori Jinnai. I certainly do and I don't even speak Japanese. :-D

There's really an alley named for Fan Tan? I did a research project in LA on crime records from the late 19th to early 20th century and almost all of the arrests of Chinese people were for Fan Tan. I wonder if it was legal in Victoria. I've always wanted to go up there for research, or for...you know...seagulls and stuff.

Yup. It's in Victoria's Chinatown. I think it's North America's narrowest official city street:

There's some pretty good history and photos here:

Yes, if I recall though they had some copyright problems. So Undertaker later came out to Limp Bizkit's 'Rollin'.
