Hey, random fart story...

Code: Select all

The night of our A Cappella Sampler, my a cappella group, The Grace Notes, was warming up in the stairwell next to the venue, as we had yet to soundcheck.  I was vocal percussing for one of our songs and everyone was singing, when all of a sudden, the bass section started to just wretch and groan, saying, "Oh my GOD, that's horrible!  Who ripped it?" and the like.  I couldn't handle this sight and turned away to laugh, never actually getting a whiff of the stench.  As we had to stop singing to regain composure, we come to find out that it is our Musical Director, Helen who dealt it.  To this day, how such a supposedly nasty smell can come out of a thin, young woman like Helen is beyond me.

I think I'll have to go with Oscar Wilde on October 16th, after all, without him we wouldn't have Uncyclopedia.

Fred Astaire (1899): dancer and manly man
Sid Vicious (1957): bassist for the Sex Pistols

Andrew Barton "Banjo" Paterson (February 17, 1864-February 5, 1941), Australian poet, journalist, and author. He wrote "Waltzing Matilda," "The Man from Snowy River," and "Clancy of the Overflow."

"Waltzing Matilda" is on Aussie money, last I recall. That's awesome.

Seeing how's my birthday is January 1st, I automatically win, because every year was born on January 1st, and anything historical will happen in a year born on January 1. But since I already won a forum rank, I encourage someone else to win. ;)

Oh, one more thing. I think it's odd that you guys got American history in school. When I was in school, we didn't get Canada history. Hell, without google-foo, I wouldn't even be able to tell you current events in Canada. Also, British Columbia has as many people as Denver Colorado. Just the city.

I will not disagree with you. I have alcohol in me at the moment, so I'm impressed I spelled it all correctly.
