May 21.

Not that I particularly think it's great, but I believe sharing a birthdate with a porn star would let me win this contest.

wait, she's not dead... back to the drawing board.

oh look, another porn star.

and another one...

Playboy model...

Dead person! found one. Andrei Sakharov, Russian physicist.

I'm going to be on that Wikipedia list 20 years from now. Mark me on that.

June 23.
I was born on the same day as ALAN TURING.
He was a British mathematician who cracked the German 'Enigma' codes in WWII, and basically founded the field of Computer Science.

(Also Glen Danzig and Joss Whedon, but they're not dead and not as cool as Turing anyway)

Well I'm borned on April 20 and I found 2 guys to choose from

Muhammad (founder of Islam) & Adolf Hitler

Now since I am atheist I can't say that someone that started hallucinating because lack of food is awesome I'm not using Muhammad.
Hitler however conqured allmost whole Europe and were controlling an army of millions and that's pretty damn awesome (ok then it's this about exterminating the jews and all that but... yea... (though if you look at their religion they should have come to a better place by being killed if they were without sin, so isn't that then a favor? (I am not against jews I just think it's fun to use peoples logic against themself)))

December 9th

I have to go with Gustavus Adolphus the Great (December 9, 1594 – November 6, 1632), King of Sweden.
He led his country during the Thirty Year's War and is called "Father of Modern Warfare" because of his innovative skills in the tactical integration of infantry, cavalry, artillery, and logistics.

Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustavus_Adolphus_of_Sweden

For me as an fan of Star Trek the most awesome Celebrity born on December 9th is Michael Dorn, who of course played the Klingon Worf Rozenkov in TNG and DS9.

First time I tried to respond to one of these LRRCast challenges. Anyway...

January 2nd is my birthday. I share it with:

Mehmed IV, (January 2, 1642-1693), Sultan of the Ottoman Empire from 1648 to 1687. According to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mehmed_IV), he took the throne at age seven and delegated executive powers to the Grand Vizier and he is known as Avcı, "the hunter".

Make of it what you will.

Huzzah for Sweden! Yes he were a good king, sadly after his death we were turned into wusses, lost 50% of our land and the respect of everyone in just a few years. Now we, the descentents of the fearsome vikings are scared shitless of making eye contact with strangers, it's realy sad actualy.

even though they are still alive, i say we give it to yukikaze, based solely on the fact that they share a birthday with so many porn stars. I mean that ups the likelyhood that they will be videotaped naked and covered in pudding.

You probably don't want to see me naked and covered in pudding...

[edit]on Edison... Nicola Tesla was ten times the scientist/inventor Edison was. All of Edison's inventions are currently being, or have already been, phased out in favor of Tesla's work.(bar code scanners, fluorescent light, wireless power transmission, alternating current electricity, wireless communication, resonant frequencies...)

can't beat a Roman Emperor

How about with the last roman emperor:
Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus ( December 15, 37 – June 9, 68 )
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nero
Awesome for being known by popular history as a tyrant because of persecution of Christians, while potentially being a pretty darned good and popular ruler otherwise, I guess history is written by the victors (survivors) right? eh well

Emm, you know, that Nero was not the LAST Roman Emperor?
He was the last of Ceasars blood, but there came many Roman Emperors after him, including such noteworthy persons like Trajan, Marcus Aurelius or Constatin.

@Yukikaze

I think W1ngless was born in 1987. Since he gives the correct year directly after Neros name... ;)

And it is rather awesome to be born on the same day as Nero.
Apart from Gustav Adolf, there was only one other person of historic significance born on my b-day, Fritz Haber, a german chemist, who invented chemical warfare during WW 1, and since he is more notorious than awesome, i don't want to take him (Might be a little bit premature to have deceided that without comparing the numbers of people, which died from chemical weapons with the number of those, who were killed by swedish troops in the Thirty year's war ;) ).
