Listeners: Do you listen to the podcasts more than once?
Listeners: Do you listen to the podcasts more than once?
Easy question.
I find myself listening to a past podcast before going to sleep. I often listen to a podcast 3 or 4 times.
You?

Really? I find I can't stand the sound of my own voice. I've got a mate who feels the same way when he hears himself speak. Personally, I will depending upon the quality. Basically, if Matt speaks I won't listen to it again.
Seriously though....It depends upon who was there and what was said. Sometimes I might listen to it a few times, sometimes I'll be like "That was cool insight, but I don't have much to say on it." Usually I listen to the podcast again while I'm typing a reply to the latest Podcast. That way I can feel like I'm actively responding to things.

Me either. It's amazing I've made it this far in life without being bopped in the head for the way I sound.
Agreed.
Well...I USED To hate my voice. But I got a little more used to it.
Still. geeze.

I listen to them once or twice, depending if I misconstrue something that was said and want to go back over it, or just like a certain part a whole bunch.
I also have a folder with LRRcasts on my computer, but those are for my favorites and/or ones where I'm mentioned (it's always cool to hear the LRR crew mention me, and sometimes acknowledge me as making rad stuff )

I listen to every new podcast at least once, tho' I don't always go further than the current video discussion. I'm rarely familiar with the games they're currently playing but if I make it that far it's worth staying for Ask LRR.
I'm currently downloading the podcast archive. Still more than a year behind in listening.

I thought your typing sounded familiar. You're the guy with the beard, right?
Actually he's the captain.
Basically I'll only go back over the podcasts if I remember something exceptionally funny about one. And then I kinda surf through it. But I did learn some special things from listening:
Such as Abraham Lincoln is the answer to all questions regarding historical figures and he could kick your ass.
Or that Al Gore does sleep in a coffin (I always suspected but never knew...) etc.
My train of thought is more like a roller coaster that has loop de loops and no safety bars.
I don't know if I'm tall enough to ride.

While yes, I've all ready answered I figured I might add an additional comment. Why do I listen to the podcasts most of all? Filming techniques, special effects and the how-to's of how they most of their videos.
The discussion LRR present about how they did their video and the backstory behind it allows me to get a firmer grasp upon what is and is not possible when making a low budget film, and then things you guys have done for a low budget just makes me go frankly.
So, there's a legitimate educational reason for my listening to these things, for example: I didn't know the CSI sound was just a set of piano keys played backwards, something LRR has taught me.
LRRcasts: Educating one guy, every week.

Really? I use a fan, the thing makes more motor noise than white noise it generates. Reeeally helps me zone out and allow my ears to focus on something other than the ringing. Still, tinnitis is a bitch. (I'm not alone!)
