January 2, 2008 :: WGA, No Way!

Postby James » 02 Jan 2008, 20:30

Hey Guys. So obviously there is a podcast to go up, but i also want to apologize as i have been rather slack on my other LRR duties over the last month or so. Now i can use Christmas and everything as a excuse but thats a lame out. Fact is i haven't been keeping up with the Blog as much as i should. And i also have 2 brand new Iron Stomachs to edit. I have a couple new years resolutions this year, and one of them is to keep up with the Blog as best I can. And while i haven't really been in charge of Iron Stomach all that long i am also making it a resolution to keep on top of that as well.

So expect nothing but awesome from me, If for whatever reason i give you any less you have permission to punch Morgan in the nuts. Or email me and let me know what you would like to see on the blog.

jameslrr "at" gmail "dot" com

I do have a loadingreadyrun.com email but it is riddled with spam at the moment.

Don't worry about it. Most people on here, myself included, are willing to excuse a lot from guys who give us a free video every week.

I think what Whatchamabiscut was complaining about in regards to Gabe Newell vs PS3 is this:

While the Windows and Xbox 360 versions of The Orange Box were developed and published by Valve, the development of the PlayStation 3 port was outsourced to Electronic Arts. Gabe Newell, co-founder of Valve, explained, "I think [PS3 is] a waste of everybody’s time. Investing in the Cell, investing in the SPE gives you no long-term benefits. There’s nothing there that you’re going to apply to anything else. You’re not going to gain anything except a hatred of the architecture they’ve created." Despite this he noted that Valve will probably handle PlayStation 3 versions of its products in the future. Although he expressed confidence that "the people who have The Orange Box on the PS3 are going to be happy with their game experience," he also mentioned that he feels "it’s harder to get it to the same standard as the 360 and PC versions."[11]

I'll update later when I've finished listening

Edison and Bell just patented their inventions first. They weren't necessarily the first to make them work.

Okay, as I was reading it over again, my question about the biggest mouth read really bad, and I was praying you didn't read it. Fuck.

As for my entry,

Code: Select all

I resolve to lose weight, by any means possible, some means impossible, and some means inprobable, so that I can be strong enough to break a pencil over my thigh.  Oh wait, I can already break a pencil over my thigh.  MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

As for the podcast...
I like Raymond + Alex + Kathleen, they should be in more podcasts.

Twoulda been nice to have Bill return, but meh.

Also appreciated the extra length and my questions being answered yay!

Now I have to come up with a funny resolution.
I have thought of some really bad jokes... are we allowed more than one entry?

Before I go any further, it was MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE who changed the sig. I would like credit, because I put enough effort into it.

EDIT: DAMMIT. I'm reeeeeeally sad. :( I really would have liked my name in an LRRcast. *Cries into a corner*

....Who's emotionally unstable? I AM! 8)

Edit, edit: Sorry if I came off as a bit of a dickweed there.

Code: Select all

I will get a job, in order to buy more bourbon in order to have more shots in order to....Whoa, dude put the hose down!
-Yeah, k I had a bit of a weird New Years...Lots of drunk water fights with an annoying lack of alcohol near the end of it :P

Katharine, that's pretty sweet that you've got a degree in radology....I'm considering going for it this year. :P
Alex: You doing another vid any time soon? Cool to see you around again. ^.^
Paul: 2 WEEKS!? Holy crap man, that's pretty bloody good. Someone's got a super metabolism. That'd probably take me months to grow ATM.
Graham: See above....-_-
Raymond: .....I'm sorry, but I'm having trouble remembering who you are. :( Didn't say much either? How come?
James: James the Python, eh? :P
Morgan: Loud voice? Figured Bill woulda won that, but well done.

Bleep swears = Better than real swears IMO. Unless it's in something like Jerry Springer....

Mic doesn't get feedback, BTW.
Man, no one listens eh? Billiam William Jigawatt. :P There, if you're just checking the forums randomly that's Bills real name.

More to come? I dunno, but I might make a 5th or 6th edit. :P

Addendum: JAMES. Check your PM or just tell me to bugger off, I can't stand waiting anymore. :P
How many edits now? Who knows. Man that was a lot of emoticons though...

Well if you want to go that route, my current resolution is 1920 x 1200. Can anyone beat that?
