Ranks

Postby Graham » 03 Nov 2008, 09:22

I think I'm caught up.

Smeghead, King Kool and the ever-patient Alexander Ditto all have their LRRcast contest ranks.

Is there anyone we're still missing?

I can just check the LRRcast you claim you won for.
So... yes, I know all.

I won for the LRRcast next Halloween 8)

Either way, I've made freakin' particle physics for Phail! And a mostly-coherent timeline from unconnected videos across 4 years! That's gotta count for something.

I won the 'Matt-gasm remix project' issued in the May 22nd LRRcast for Bagel time, and played in May 28th LRRcast for Interview with Uwe Boll. You were a little ambiguous whether or not you planned on issuing one, though.

YES YOU DID

Oh, good lord that was hilarious. No, we owe you one. Noted.

Could someone make a list of all the Forum ranks awarded? This sounds like something for the wiki.

Oh smeg...

That's an extremely long list, there's at least three people with "The Goddamn Batman"

Misty, BlackDragonTaz and Winged Chief.

To do this, you'd have to go through the entire member list. Have fun.

But that's because the three of them worked on the same project for LRR promotion.

I can easily give you a list of all custom ranks we've generated. Who they're applied to would be considerably more effort.

I agree that it is Wiki-worthy. Especially if we can remember why they got them.

Well if you generate the list, the editors can probably do the search for the owners of the rank and ask.

To help, my rank was from the Crew Member Obituary Challenge.

Jtaylor got "ASCII Ninja" for making a very impressive ASCII art of a C64 with loading screen on his first post.(that was the first podcast I listened to.)

Lavos got "Lavos" for being Lavos.(I think he was the only person who competed for that challenge.)

Emma got "CAPSLOCK" because she (used to... Don't think I've seen Emma around lately) posts a lot of comments in ALL CAPS.

Also, don't forget the pornbot who was randomly chosen for one week's challenge, and got the tile, "The Chosen One." Two titles were awarded that week. I forget who the second one (challenge winner) was.

Oh, and Graham, I believe Scone was promised a Forum rank after donating $750 during Desert Bus.

Correction: Lavos got his rank for the "Indiana Jones" sequel challenge for "Indiana Jones and the Wrath of Lavos".

The porn bot got "The Chosen One" as part of a scavenger hunt challenge that was won by PjotrMan, who looked through a large amount of the member list.

I forget what Emma did to get hers though.

I started a forum thread on this topic a few months back. That should help a bit in finding stories behind the ranks.

Thank you very much!

Speaking of the wiki, has anyone added all the Photoshops to the wiki yet?

Do believe so.

I would lie and try to get a rank, but I'm too lazy and lacking in imagination. But please start up the contests again, they're fun.

I'll start going through the userlist and popping the ranked people into the wiki.
http://wiki.loadingreadyrun.com/index.p ... nks_Issued

I don't promise to get through all 2940 people or however many we've got. Wish me luck.
