I think we should have been arguing about dropping fridges outside, without using a large crane that someone would notice. I mean, you've trained us that dropping fridges is normal.

I've been playing a lot of Metroid recently, so I was really amused by Jer's comment at the very last second of the podcast.
In fact, I just tried out Zero Mission for the first time. The shinespark stunts in that game are fucking ridiculous.

With the Monty Python/Eddie Izzard thing Paul: are you thinking of the Reunion Special with Robert Klein interviewing them (Live in Aspen)? I know that's where Eddie Izzard tries to convince everyone he was a Python and they all kick him off the stage; there's also the remake with Eddie Izzard, Harry Enfield, Alan Rickman and Vic Reeves. Are you confusing the two, or is there a gem of Monty Python that I have never seen?(cause that would be awesome!).

PS: Your devotion and work ethic impresses me to no end.

Yahtzee praised Mirror's edge for being a creative and original first person game in an ocean of sequals. He also called is a stream of piss.

Having just heard this, I second Paul's idea to have a couple of LRR members tour the world, staying at fans' houses in between. Film and upload it, like the road trips.

On Mirror's Edge: Yahtzee hated it, as I expected him to. He complained that it was short, repetitive, had dodgy hit detection, a vague story, and unlikeable characters, and that first-person view doesn't really go well with Parkour-style platforming.

He also was glad it was made, and wishes more developers would do things like that, and about a third of his review was spent basically saying "I know I've just trashed this game, but the fact that it's an original idea in a sea of sequels and clones means far more to me than the fact that it's a sucky game."

Personally, still haven't played Mirror's Edge, still want to.

He's pretty negative, but often doesn't hate the games he reviews. He called Bioshock a shallow System Shock 2 clone...but said it wasn't bad. He layed into Fallout 3, but he didn't hate it. He even said that Silent Hills 5 would have been alright if only they hadn't called it Silent Hill 5. He hated EVE Online.

And Psychonauts.

But that's his schtick, and while I know not everyone always agrees with him, he always makes valid points. And is hilarious.

My guess though, is his Twilight dreams aren't as scary as his Huey Dewey and Louie dream from childhood. But they are neck and neck.

Going anywhere in the universe is an interesting question...there's this neat planet-star pair that are tidally locked to each other, like Pluto and Charon.

Except the planet is believed to be a gas giant, and it's locked TO ITS STAR. Which means it's orbiting close to Mercury or Venus' orbit, or its star has crazy-powerful gravity. I'd love to see that--especially to find out if the star is locked to the planet, as well.

This.

I figured not going over Rapidfire 2-5 was not going to be a huge deal. I didn't even think of how he dropped the fridge inside the garage.

Also, is Rodriguez going to become a detective? Detective Rodriguez?

Yes. Very loud. Very painful.

So about the Twilight shirt. Does Matt get to keep it forever or was it returned the next day like some of the other LRR costumes?
