Nice opening Matt.
Also what was with the string arrangement?

Dunno what's up with the strings, but they're....interesting. And oddly awesome.

Fixed. Works nicely for the quasi-flashback though.

I was waiting for this one, I feel that you need to listen to the podcast to really understand the LRR crew.

(Oh my god those strings are so annoying.)

Matt, there is an easter event, it's called Noblegarden. However, it only happens for one day, and is really easy to overlook.

Women do get makeup tattooed on, but not to the extreme you are probably imagining. My Aunt had hers done, her eyeliner I think . It's really subtle, but she has had some problems with her eyes, and has limited vision, and is colour blind, and can't do it herself anymore.

So I have a theory (never having played Okami)

9 Headed thing
5 tailed fox

Paul, it looks like you have a 3 somethinged something and a 1 somethinged something. I'm worried that they may be running out of body parts to multiply though....

Re: Oblivion

If you have the gold for it, you can enchant a bow with Turn Undead, which will make the zombie/ghost scourge much easier to deal with.

Had Matt been reffing another hockey game before this LRRcast? He sounds very hoarse.

When I heard the strings, I though that Paul was going to start saying something romantic. Oh well.

EDIT: why can't you use the boom mike for the podcast.

I was listening to the podcast on my drive home, and when the strings kicked in, I thought I was getting interference from another radio station. It took realizing that mp3s generally don't work that way before I realized it was supposed (?) to be there. At least it wasn't just me.

Yeah, that was kind of funny.

I was playing WoW, downloading things off iTunes, and listening to the LRR cast, and I kept pausing and checking things to see where that strings arrangement came from.

But good podcast overall, I love your audio, and I think it works just fine.

Having played Okami, let me point out that the whole story is a hodge-podge of Shinto legends:

Orochi, the 8-tailed demon

and

Ninetails, the 9-tailed Kitsune

Also, Paul, if I remember correctly, you end up fighting one more "main boss" before the final section of the game (which will make you go "WHAT!").

If you guys want my mixing board, I can send it to you if you want. I don't DJ anymore, and have no desire to do it again. PM me if you are interested.

Dude, if you are serious, you may have just kicked all our asses in the "Devoted LRR fan" category. All they need now is the 8 mics and they are good.

Bonus if they are lapel or headsets.

(That is meant for the other people who may now be scrambling to rise to the occasion...)

My guess for the portal prequal question was in reference to Narabacular drop which Paul most definitely has played because I downloaded it and played inspired from the podcasts and Paul's Portal obsession at the time.

For a random name, Neville Chambers is shockingly similar to Neville Chamberlain.

Thought I would share that little factoid. Ties in rather nicely with "Heilgate".

Boy are you going to enjoy season 7 of 24, Matt. I felt 5 and 6 were borderline crap at times, but I've had nothing but good times watching the new season.

Good job holding the fort, you three.

So, I'd like to say something about World of Warcraft in the podcasts.

I know that I'm a WoW player, and that there are other WoW players in the community--though I don't claim to speak to them, so I'll speak entirely for myself.

I really don't mind when WoW is talked about a bit in the podcast. I completely understand that it's annoying when WoW players 'get into it,' but I don't see why it needs to be completely skipped over every week. I actually enjoy hearing about what crew members are doing in Azeroth. And it's not like non-wow players are any more 'left out' than I am when Graham talks about Saint's Row 2.

I dunno. I'm not trying to assert that WoW-talk should be included in the podcasts, I'm just saying that I would enjoy it if it was included more frequently.

BTW Matt: I also cannot get the heart candies! This fills me with so much nerd rage that I wish I was a warrior so I could at least channel it into something productive.

We usually skip WoW because there's nothing new to add.

Matt has been running Malygos and Naxxramas in both 10 and 25-man iterations. You are now caught up on the last two months.

Don't have a cow yet. It's only a small $80 mixing board. 2 XLR inputs, and like, 4 quarter inch inputs. It's really not a big deal. I used to hook up two computers to take and create one output.

In complete honesty, anecdotes about Naxx and Maly runs are amusing. But it might just be me.

It's just that every time the WoW players cut off their stories because nobody wants to hear them I always think to myself 'I actually kinda wanted to hear that...' and I figured it was stupid to sit there thinking it and never saying it.
