Personally I enjoy this as far as cuteness and the cats VS dogs debate goes.

DAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!
The only thing I can think of to compare is that, when my old cat had her kittens (this was years ago in my childhood), she had them in the doghouse of our dog. Our dog (a large red-coloured retriever) sat in the entrance of the doghouse guarding the cat and her kittens. They had a good relationship.

Way back before my time, my parents had a newfie and a cat who great friends towards each other. For instance, the first time they were both in a car, the cat wrapped himself right around the dog's neck for safety. Apparently when they had to give the newfie away because they had to move (this was Alberta the first time the oil industry collapsed), and couldn't take the dog with them, the cat laid down and died 3 days later. Only cat my mother liked too, apparently he was a great one.

What about the cat in Europe who gave birth to kittens, its owners dog gave birth to puppies then got struck by a car, and the cat adopted the puppies with its kittens? That was cute too.
