While the first part is true, I feel that vector drawings in Photoshop are far more fun than drawing pen/paper and much, much more rewarding (the reward is in the challenge).

Re: LRRcast for Ways to Stay Awake
The main story really is more about Ashe than it is about Vaan anyway. The whole story is about the 2 countries at war, Ashe's father (the king) getting killed, allegedly by the knight Bashe as witnessed by Vaan's brother who is later killed (this is the combat tutorial). The other characters aren't needed at all, and they hardly hinge on Balthier being there. Fran being there depends on Balthier's role, but the others don't need him. As for the spoiler *spoiler* the deity is trying to play both sides, only Vayne doesn't know it. In the end you do fight some holy object (called The Undying if I remember right) after fighting Vayne and Bashe's twin brother.Dave-O_Boy wrote:@Matt:
I remember hearing that one of the lead development guys really did not like Vaan and wanted Ashe to be the character the players play as.
Regardless I haven't played the game either, partly due to lack of Nobuo writing the music and partly due to Vaan. Also, from what I saw of the ending, it seemed the game kinda ends on an incomplete note.
*spoiler?*
Isn't the Villain (Vayne?) in league with some evil deity thing that the players never fight and never really plays out story wise?

Eh the yamanote line is ok...the Chuo/Sobu lines kick ass. Shinjuku->Akiba straight. Good times. The Yamanote takes too long to get to the other side...lol

Wow, those are epically awesome pics, guys.
Also, it was I that suggested Ways To Stay Awake... *sheepishly waves hand*
Also, at least two people have registered just to post pictures of Kathleen's battle cat - I think I sense a way to draw more people to the forums...

Oh hush~ I've been meaning to join for a while, I just never got around to it.
Really I've never joined a forum before, and I wasn't sure what it would be like, so I kept putting it off.

I was expecting this thread to have been nothing but people posting what their superpowers would be. As it is a topic I often think about...
Me: The Jelloporter, with the ability to conjure Jell-O from any point in the world to any other point instantaneously.
My sidekick: Sammy Squeez-It, with the power to compress his body into barely micrometers thin, and also to have delicious blood.
Villain: Mark Pain, Mark Twain gone evil after having been cryogenically frozen at the bottom of a river for 200 years. He has no powers, but he has an army of henchmen called his Huckleberry Finnmen at his disposal.

Here's what I've drawn so far for the Bill/Nightcrawler/Cthulhu piece. Boy is my desk full of eraser shavings

Jaebird, that's great!
You do great caricatures of us, if Kathleen and Bill are anything to go by.
Sent me an @reply when you post the coloured versions, I don't want to miss them!

Finally colored! Yay... my wrist hurts.
DeviantART link because I'm too lazy to upload to Photobucket.
Edit: As you can see, I am no better at coloring than I am at drawing. If anyone would like to, feel free to color it yourself. I'll post the lined version in my scraps over on DeviantART. And if you also have a DeviantART page, I'll be sure to credit your colored version

Look more like a hazel to me. I'm not that good at this kind of thing though, so see for yourself.

Re: LRRcast for Ways to Stay Awake
I think I'll go with hazel, since it's in the middle of green and blue in the eye-color spectrum. Thanks
