Same errors under the same conditions as Gap Filter above, except I'm running Vista Home Premium.

The podcasts are doing a bad thing right now, we're trying to address it.
Sorry!

Has there been any word yet? I am working through all your old podcasts from the beginning while doing my workout routine, and I don't have any past September 18, 2010.

I'm listening to March 21 2010 right now, what will I do when I run out?

[/Whine]

Seriously, I'm sure you are working on it as fast as possible.

PS: I'm using Windows XP SP3 and Chrome, same error on firefox and IE.
I'm a bigger nerd than you. Not by way of intelligence, mind. But because I'm over six feet tall and more than 350 lbs.

I feel your pain, this podcast is the only thing keeping me sane at work and I just hit the first one where it started to go awry (Podcast for Hustle 4, as already mentioned earlier).
Running Rockmelt (0.16.91.483) on Windows XP (Pro - Service Pack 3).

Hmm, guess I did purely register to whine about the podcast... might as well have a look around see what else is up.

And in case this post is too negative, thanks for all the great content over the years. I've been following you for a while now (just not the forum)

Awesome! :D

Now to go home, download them over the weekend and bring them to work.
Thanks a lot Yaxley (EDIT: And Keab42 originally, sorry!), that looks like a great solution.

To me it didn't matter much, I just pulled down everything at once... Hope that wasn't a problem.

For anybody else looking to pick up where the Blip problems start, the Podcast for Commodore Hustle 4 is in the package 101-150.
Kind regards,

Mara.

PS - Yay! podcast, podcast, podcasts!

I did have that red screen appear on the most recent vidcast, and on a similar note I've been having problems with blip, the loading circle will appear but the video will never play. According to their support page mostly people in Canada seem to be having this problem. I don't know if they are related (doubtful) but this does mean that vidcasts and loadingtimes are unwatchable.

I've been having videos just cut off early for no real reason. It happened with Phailhouse... 21 I think, Fun with Microwaves 2, and Keikon panel loading time.

Can't watch any videos embeded on site, they just never load (waited 2 hours once) all download and quicktime links that I have tried go to the red video of death and the newest podcast (outcast) does not load and the download link doesn't work. Windows 7 64-bit, using newest version of chrome.

I had this same problem. Win 7 64bit both desk and laptop. Since there was no solution I went ahead and made a work around.

I went into the source of the web page for the podcast and was able to pull the source file address. In this case it was for podcast Ways to Find my Friends and Family's Wifi Gear

Which got me http://blip.tv/file/get/LoadingReadyRun ... ear931.mp3

I then used my linux box to wget http://blip.tv/file/get/LoadingReadyRun ... ear931.mp3

and this downloaded the mp3 and I'm listing to it now. I don't know if i'm allowed to do this but I really wanted to listen to the content and I've seen no update on the problem. So some one let me know if i'm totally in the wrong and I'll stop. However it is nice to be able to hear the podcasts!

The final word on Blip:

The good news -- We're leaving Blip. The transition will be slow.

The bad news -- There will be no official option for downloads at all, simply because we can't offer it. If you want to download YouTube videos through some unofficial channels, go ahead.

Offering downloads was the whole reason we used Blip, and now that they're not offering it anymore, we are Sadface.

Look forward to the new solution when/where it happens. Love the behind the scene podcast.

Didnt really know where else to go with this. I tweeted Graham a while back but still having issues

I am subscribed to the RSS using DoggCatcher on my Android and the feed always fails to download. At the moment I am downloading the audio manually but with the move to multiple podcasts a week I would rather have my reader download automatically

Thanks

You are accessing the official LRRcast feed at : http://feeds.feedburner.com/lrrcast?

Can you send me the error message you are getting? As far as I know, the LRRcast RSS feed should be working.

Is there a plan to make former blip videos viewable again? Older videos like RapStar64k aren't accessible in any way.
