First video: "Brandon Weeden" and "loading" respectively. The second one could even be believable of they'd meant "loading time" or something like that.

Did they at least have something interesting to say to each other?

The second one just wanted to say that WOW of Guildwars was his favorite game.

We should keep an eye on those, they might start plotting...

Is this a 'one'?
The 'first video' field is valid, but it speaks with a spambotian accent.
What's important is that it agrees with me and my fabulous/horrible pun. Sort of.

So are we seeing the beginnings? Or has it been rumbling for a while already and it's mostly being handled?

Spam's up a little bit I think, but it might just be that the lack of other posts make them stand out more. It's certainly nothing like last year, when we had a whole page of spam threads in a few different sections.

The spam is getting worse. I don't even want to just say that they're bots anymore. We might be dealing with actual posters now. A lot of them are starting to use actual 'first videos' and posting in already active threads. It's enough to actually be somewhat confusing.

Well, a lot of them might actually be people who were brought here through desert bus?
But it is kind of hard to distinguish from a first time poster who leaves a short message that seems on topic and a spam-bot that leaves a short message that seems on-topic.

Usually I'm of the opinion that I'll let someone else handle the deciding :P

It's possible, but I doubt it for many of them. A lot of them use the same sort of grammar of spammakers (all lower case, ending with ellipses, etc). And the usernames are often gibberish as well. Well, more gibberish than is usual around here. :P

They might be data-mining from the forums? Just inserting common words perhaps.

I got one of those posted in my Last Words thread and I WOULD LIKE IT GONE KILL IT WITH FIRE PLEASE.

EDIT: One should check if the problem has been handled before bitching about it. As you were.
