I concluded that I should probably bring my hotel room hunt to the main page, so here goes.

Anybody got a hotel room and would like to share it, presumably to cut costs? Similarly, is there anybody also looking for somebody to share a room with before booking?

I need a room. I would prefer just Friday and Saturday night.

I'd be tempted just for the Saturday night. I'd be worried about breaking hotel occupancy rules, but there is little way they could know. I'll see if anything else comes up, but I might take you up on that.

Your means of room splitting is entirely your own. As long as all parties are happy with the terms, you could trade space for chocolate or something.

For one convention many years ago, I had 2 friends turn down roomspace because the couldn't afford it, so me and another friend were splitting 50/50. Then I found out the friends who said no were trying to get my fiancé to help them a)drive to and from the con each day, and b) unload/pack up the artist alley booth because they (rightly) didn't trust the con staff to keep things safe. So- with permission from the other roommate- I called them up and told them they could share the room for the cost difference between a 2 and 4 person room (which was something like 20 bucks a night.) They agreed readily because it was easier, my fiancé was a happier man, and in the end they were so successful in that year's artist alley, they made enough to pay their full room share and have enough left to pay rent that month.

So yeah- do what you want.
