It would be great to have the option of including your formum name and/or avatar right on the badges.

I'm flying out there from the UK, been trying to get to a PAX for a while but haven't been able to.
And while I would no doubt enjoy PAX, LRR would be the primary reason for going... so this is actually perfect :D

Frankly I dont think anyone will attend LRRcon unless you can bring in a big name cartoonist, designer, writer and humor scientist, or a pair of sisters who sing about dinosaurs.

Ticket purchased!

Now to work out the flights and hotel. Anyone else looking to share a room for two nights? (Maybe three nights, actually. Might arrive on Thursday to give me a chance to tackle the jet lag)

I've bought my ticket (and it's here already! I have caressed it) and my flights, and now I'm just booking my Visa exemption and hotel. I'm gonna spend as much time in the area as I can, since I'm flying out and everything, so I'm arriving on the 6th and leaving on the 13th.

BTW, this is where I found out about the Visa waiver. You'll either need a Visa or an ESTA to visit the US from the UK, and probably from other countries?

Hey, Paul (or...anyone), does everyone with a ticket get a seat at the panel, or will there be limited seating? What about for "The Show"?

Also...any rules about those of us with babies bringing said babies? Do said babies need their own ticket if they are under 1?

I'd assume the child would need an extra ticket for each month under one that it is. That's standard operating procedure.

Ticket bought, airfare purchased and hotel booked. I am READY!

Is it May yet?

Also, depending on if my friend gets off his lazy butt or not, I might have space to share in my hotel room. Should know within a couple of weeks, if anyone is interested at that point.

I've been wanting to do this, but can't really justify the cost of the flight. SO I've determined that if I get enough knitting commissions by the end of the month, I'll do it. I'll keep you guys updated on how that goes. :P

I might have brought a ticket and booked my flights.

The hotel link on the LRRcon page claims there are no rooms left for the dates I'm there. Can anybody suggest other nearby hotels to poke?

Keab, you might want to try looking at the hotels main site rather than the LRR link. If understood correctly, there's a deal for LRRcon attendees, but it's probably only for those two nights. It's possible that if you're staying longer, you just can't book through that.

@Keab, if Jam is right, it might be worth calling/emailing them and seeing if you could get the deal for the two nights at least.

@Fayili, just a thought, but have you looked into taking the bus instead of flying? Not sure how far south you are, but bussing would probably be way cheaper.

@The Jester, if you are thinking of visiting Victoria and need some help with plans let me know.

@Vancouver/Victoria people, perhaps we could look into carpooling? I'm not sure yet how I'm getting there (i.e. clipper or driving)

Back to the hotel rooms, I have a room booked with two beds that I would consider sharing and I know a couple people expressed interest, but as a first choice I would prefer sharing with a girl.

Despite its name, LRRCon is more of a show than a real "convention". We just thought LRRCon sounded cool. We are only selling as many tickets as there are seats in the theatre. If you would like to play games or draft with other LRR fans instead of going to the panel or the show, that is totally cool, but everyone who buys a ticket will get a seat.

We don't have anything against bringing babies (as long as they are not too disruptive), but keep in mind that there may be some adult content and there will almost definitely be bad language :D. As mentioned above, 1 ticket = 1 seat in the theatre, so if your baby needs their own seat, they will need a ticket.

I haven't sorted out how I'm getting there yet (I don't have a car, so it'll depend on if anyone in my family can lend me one that weekend), so that's definitely something I'd be interested in.

I don't really want to bus across pretty much the entirety of California, Oregon, and Washington. :P
