LoadingReadyRun v4.0

Postby Paul » 27 Oct 2006, 15:25

Welcome to LoadingReadyRun v4.0!

Hopefully, this design will make it easier to find videos in the archives and the new random feature will show you some old favorites that you may have forgotten. As well as having links to the latest videos, the new video player page also has convient links to add the videos to del.icio.us, digg or reddedit (hint, hint). With the Revver videos, you can even embed them on your own website or blog!

As always, if there are any problems, please let me know.(but first try reloading the page while holding shift)

I'm liking it so far... caught me a bit off guard considering I didn't even notice a difference until I clicked the vid and it didn't open a new window.

There are some oddities about the forum messages - they're right up against the top of their message space, and post signatures are displaying in more space than they need - in a few cases, much more space.

Also, I can't reach the Wiki.

Plus the Emoticons are all crammed together.

Other than those things, the transfer seems to have gone pretty well.

Blech, everything's crammed together.
I congradulate you for taking the time to do all this :D, but it'll definately take some getting used to for me...I looooved the old one. Ah well.
Yeah, like Mel said everything's crammed together. It'll just take some getting used to.

Also, just thought I'd point out, that on the main page "Snakes On The Brain" has a 00:00 play time count.
I like the new view counter! (unless it was there before and I just didn't notice. *shrug*)

How are you doing all this ? It looks like you are mostly doing it server side. I think the style sheets for the forums are being tweaked.

I haven't noticed any problems with cramped, or with the posts.

I like the finally updated About Us page.

Your middle user bar - the one that used to refer to LRR - isn't displaying. Can you see it?

I like that Kathleen is finally considered a main cast member.

I can't see it either.
And it's not logging me in every time I visit
sorry Graham,I know it sounds like bitching and not being happy, but it's not. I'm just saying the things (although you probably knew this) just in case you didn't. didn't know of that, that is.

That's the only thing I've notice, that and a few icons, but that's just a linkign error, no biggie.

Oh, and I did actually like the popup personally.

Is it supposed to be full-screen wideness now?

WAAAAUUUUGGGGHHH!

Postby Kneuronak » 27 Oct 2006, 16:21

What happened? Everything's all... Non-Commodore-y! And things highlight! And everything has a screenshot! And 'Shake Your Hands' has a typo (2ake Your Hands)!

Could I get a complete and total run down of the new layout and site- before the LRRcast? I wait my entire week for those things, but I can't wait for an explanation of this.

First up- Vidcasts. What do they entail, why are they there, why is it so damned ridiculous, and why you be so short?

Next- It's all so... flashy! Completely opposite to the original theme. You might as well have all changed your minds and decided to back Uwe Bolle by pointing out and conveying the power of Christ through his movies! Is it all necessary?
Who?

On the "About Us" page, the 'L' in Johnny_Lunchbox isn't capitalized.

It's really not all that different. It's been an evolution from 1.0 to bring the site to where it is today.

It think the rollovers and everything are a great idea, and make everything look quite slick.

Just think, we used to look like this.
All things considered, it's really not that big a change.

I like the new(ish) look. It sticks with the commodore style but has a more professional look to it now.

Just thought I'd point out that Nerd Fight is in the archive twice.

It took a couple of minutes to get used to it but I like it. One suggestion: On the most recent video box, would it be possible to find a different highlighted color than white. Its just very startling everytime you roll over it.

I had some problems with 404 when I clicked on links from a video. I.E. I clicked the Zomgie one and then I right-clicked the whatever thing to open in new windo. Resulted in 404 as did everything else I did in this manner.

I still can't believe you lost my avatar. >_<

And I have had a 404 error while trying to post. It couldn't find the submit function.
"I swear it," said the other mother. "I swear it on my own mother's grave."

"Does she have a grave?" asked Coraline.

"Oh yes," said the other mother. "I put her in there myself. And when I found her trying to crawl out, I put her back."
