Thanks for the offer, but we should be ok.

Also, the only way to filter the ads is to login to adbrite using our account. As much as we like you guys, it doesn't seem like a good idea to give control of all our advertising revenue to random forum members. No offense.

Blargh, it was Cybertractor suggesting it.

His avatar made me think it was someone of authority and incredible beardsmanship speaking.

Why, thank you.

I'm still getting the "Congratulations, you have been selected..." ad that I've posted before.

I know you guys said you're getting around to it, but just pointing it out again.

Just got the iPhone talkie again. Haven't had a problem before this since the switch to manual-ad-selection.

Consider this signature a museum piece, since I love it and am unlikely to change it ever.

Firefox + AdBlock Plus + Flashblock.

Seriously, I was bitching about the ads most vocally when they first started showing up, but now? My ENTIRE INTERNET EXPERIENCE is 99% ad-free.

This might sound odd, but I think the adds make the site look really ... professional.

Not that you aren't professional; it's just that it gives the impression that Loading Ready Run is a small business run by responsible people.

Now, I'm not sure, but I just got a popup alert thing that said, "You should install this AntiSpyware thing," which was obviously bogus. I only had LRR and a blank tab open in Firefox (and I immediately installed NoScript).

Now my computer is seven years old and probably has more computer STDs than Robot Fonzie and MorganBot. I just hope this was just my compy and not the ads, but I haven't seen something like that on this computer in a LONG time, ever since I switched to Mozilla/Firefox.

I got the same thing Sir Substance did. One of the ads you guys are using has a popup to go with it.

now that its talking about stuff like domain names rather then who your true love is, i agree.

Matt: now we get back to the sorry situation of "when it next appears" and you saw how long it took last time. still, watch this thread!

The only popups I ever get is when the forum notifies me of a new private message, and when I open the podcasts.

I can't find any sign of that pop-up add on adbrite. clearly it's there, but there's no sign of it in our ad list. I'll keep looking. If I see it, I'll kill it.

actually, this might be a false alarm related to some spyware on my computer, because the same ad appeared last night on a totally unrelated site. of course, it might be a common ad. im in the process of scanning my computer now.

pop-upness confirmed.

I just got a pop-up warning here at work, confirming that one of our ads definitely does have an associated pop-up. naturally, being at work, I can't allow it to take a look, but it's definitely not just you, sub.

Are you sure that wasn't just a PM notification?

Because more and more I'm thinking this is just something on Substance's end.

well, ive done a decent scan, and its still popping up occasionally, but hold the deep delving into the masses of ads until someone else sees the same ad i reckon.
