Be grateful I stopped. If I'd wanted to get really nasty, I'd start listing all of the horrible things that have resulted from infectious religious memes throughout history. Even limiting myself to Judeo-Christianity, it'd take hours just to go over the highlights.

So, let's put that ugly tangent behind us and concenrate on more pleasant things.

Where in the world did you two get that scarf? Did Tom Baker drop by and leave it behind?

My point was just that Judiasm isn't a nation in the phyiscal sense that England, Germany, etc. are.

Funny you should mention that, it is the scarf from my Doctor Who costume. Fourth Doctor, of course. The wig Paul has in CCYD is from that costume too. Ash knitted it for me (yes, she knits too!!) and it's awesome.

I thought I recognized that scarf! My aunt knitted one for me years ago from an "official" pattern she got for pledging $$$ to our local Public Broadcasting Station that aired the show here in the states.

On the subject of the latest Whatever vid, though....
That was friggin hilarious!!! I'm glad that there's no set theme to the vids as it's always guaranteed to be a complete surprise. My co-worker and I were in tears we were laughing so hard! (not the best thing to do when you work in a library, btw!)
And what's so bad about Marmite??? Granted it's not as good as Vegemite, but it is a close second. I love the stuff, and it's really healthy for you too.

Kepp up the great work guys ...in England!

Stay random... 8)

You have a Doctor Who costume? Cool! A friend of mine is making an exact replica of the Fourth Doctor's scarf. It will be thirteen feet long.

I am 1/4 Latvian, 3/4 German, and ALL STREET JUSTICE.

Also, that video was awesomely hilarious.
"I swear it," said the other mother. "I swear it on my own mother's grave."

"Does she have a grave?" asked Coraline.

"Oh yes," said the other mother. "I put her in there myself. And when I found her trying to crawl out, I put her back."

Surreal goodness. Loved it. Stages of grief, Graham appearing playing a DS...

The thing is: It wouldn't work if we didn't already have expectations about what it's 'supposed' to be.

Well, I expect that it is supposed to be funny. The day that they post an unfunny Whatever Thing is the day that I get on a plane to the coast and KILL THEM ALL.

Ditto, except for the 'killing them' part... I'll be pretty disappointed, though.

Speaking of becoming aggressive... Dana, what's with the murderizing?

Clearly the appropriate response is to get on a plane to the coast, give the cast of LRR big hugs, then break their spirits in re-education centers.

But that is so much work...and I am a lazy Dana.
I suppose I *could* settle for making them watch reruns of something horrible...say The OC, as punishment.

Oh, dear God! I just suggested having them tortured - "The OC" is going way, way too far! That's, that's inhuman.

True, but they'd break after two episodes, tops. Then I could get on to more important things, like playing Wii.

Also, I don't watch TV (I have no cable), so I was hard-pressed to come up with any TV show at all.

Make the watch Grey's Anatomy.

Anyone with five braincells would break under that. Of course, anyone with with one braincell would break under the OC...
