EDIT: I put my question in the video thread and my comment for the video in this thread. :(

Dear Kathleen,
There are too many stupid people. What can I do to combat this? (Besides working to not be stupid myself, that's trivial.)
Sincerely, Melendwyr

Dear Kathleen,
Having seen my comic garner more and more views each month (On average a +15%/month increase) I am wondering how to "overclock" this statistic. How do you advertise and garner new viewers for Korea?
Or in summation: What do you suggest for advertising a webcomic?
Sincerely, Tim again

Dear Kathleen,
TL, DR. Grad school, concerns, applying, ZOMG.
tak197
(Need more? okay, well I need to apply to grad school for my profession, but I am just concerned that I won't be able to get in because of my grades, though I have done pretty well in some areas. I do have good GRE scores and can get a good letter of recommendation, as well as good personal essays. Anydangway, should I really be stressing out about everything or do I need to take a step back and relax?)

Dear Kathleen,
I have noticed that as girls breasts grow, they get stupid. Do girls use brain matter to grow breasts? Did you find a way to re grow you brain?
Yours, Angry Misoginistic Nerd.
Dear Kathleen,
Why is being on the football team attractive while being on the chess and/or debate team isn't?
Yours, Nerd who can't get a date.

Crisis
Kathleen,
I'm a High school teacher. I recently had a student inform me that he uses steroids "all the time." I did as I was trained and notified his guidance councilor, the At-risk coordinator, and the Dean. The problem is that the student is one of our star athletes. I was called into a meeting with all of the people mentioned above with the addition of the head coach. I was informed that there would be no drug test, and was forced to sign a contract stating that if I told anyone else about the incident (parents, the media, and the like) I would be fired. The Dean made it perfectly clear that if I was terminated in this way, it would be next to impossible for me to find another job.
The way I see it, I could break my contract and report the incident to the powers that be. This may save the student from possible death, but destroy my future in a career I love.
What do I do?

This is a metaphor.
Why did you sign the contract? Without it, if they fired you they'd have a lawsuit for wrongful termination on their hands. With it, you're pretty much unable to do anything.

As a former education major, I read this and was ashamed of the state of education in the
Talk to the counselors again, and see if they were forced to sign it as well. If they were, you have two or even three people who can blow the whistle to the school board. The important thing here is that you tell the school board and the superintendant that you were threatened with termination for releasing this information and forced to sign this contract. I think that the Dean and the coach are the two big causes for the contract to even come into play. The other three of you were doing your job.
Termination in that way could likely prevent you from continuing in that career, so you may need to break contract first in order to salvage your career.
Also, if this student told you that they were using steroids all the time, they clearly want help and know that they need to stop. It is your responsibility to do everything to help them. In many cases, illegal drug use will not result in criminal charges if the user makes the decision to go be treated.
Here's my overall suggested plan: if need be, resign, as you can always find another position elsewhere. Report the Dean and coach to the school board and tell them about the incident. Talk to the student and explain that you are ultimately doing this all to protect their health and safety. Actions speak louder than words, and if this student was to die, all your inaction could result in a lawsuit agains the school board, the school, and the athletic department. The Dean and coach may not realize this, and are just trying to save the school's athletic reputation.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Dear Kathleen,
Plastic surgery continues to increase in prevalence, what is your opinion of the "perfect image through Barbie transmogrification" culture on the rise?
Should women pay exorbitant amounts of money to be pulverised on a surgery table to look "pretty"? Is there really that much point to doing so?
Sincerely, local concerned philogynist, Tim
