Ah, Roulade, yeah.
I'm also pretty sure they are around in other European countries, though. (See: French name)
Still, nice to know.

God I hate roulade ¬¬

I just eat the tastey stuff out of the middle and leave the gross meringue stuff *gag*

Point of that being that we do have it in the UK xD

I've actually never seen any with chocolate on them, but I guess some bakers could make them like that.

I don't know if this has been stated before or if someone even cares, but that meat roll is an existing dish indeed.
You made it look exactly like my mom used to cook it, only maybe 10 times larglier... it's called Fleischvogel (meatbird) and we usually had it with mashed potatoes and green salad, yummy.
Can't tell you if it's only us swiss who make this, or if it's german or european in general.

For my money, there was a little too much shouting and too little actual cooking in this one. For me the funniest part about Man Cooking is the contrast between all the manly shouting and the genuinely good cooking 'advice':

Sanitation is manly, wash your hands!

Real men recycle!

Yeah ... I much prefer Man Cookings 1 and 2 -- the format was a much quieter humour, with slightly more implication of Morgan's actual un-manliness.

It's so manly, it doesn't even have a handle! <cut> RAAAAAH! <cut> *beep, beep beep* *walk off*

This .. Uh ... May or may not have been forgotten about ... temporarily

I'm sad to say that this is the first LRR video I've not wanted to watch, nor have watched, to the end.

There were several moments like that in this one:

M- Disregarding fire code is manly! Haaaa!
A- Yeah, but seriously we may have to call the fire department.

Still, sorry you didn't care for it. No worries.

Admittedly I did get past that bit before stopping. I think the problem is that those moments are being overshadowed by the decibel level -- made it hard to zone in(?) on such interludes, or something.

But that's just me -- everyone else seems to like it, so you must be doing something right.

This roll terrified and inspired me in equal portions. Watching the video made my mouth water and my left arm hurt.

Also, re: Garlic as an ISC, I honestly don't think it would stack up against something like BOJ. Not to ruin the manliness of the larglier garlic, but elephant garlic is the mildest variety of garlic available...It is however great for making hummus I find.

All said and done, i enjoyed this one as much as the other man-cookings.

I really think this is possibly the most manly of the Man Cooking specials. But it was also the hardest recipe to follow because less time was spent listing the ingredients as they went in, which makes me a little sad.

However, experimentation is manly, and thus I will eventually discover the path to the Swiss Meat Roll! Inevitability is MANLY!!

You can only buy items in bulk at costco, and who doesn't love bacon..

This could be an ISC. Not because it tastes horrible, but because it contains a potentially lethal does of manliness.
