Re: OMG, DND!?
Well, Re'ozul, that would be fantastic however, I believe the rules against you on this one. While I suppose it is possible to have two implements wielded, I believe you can only cast a spell through one, not both, only gaining the benefit of the one it has been cast through.
However, if I am wrong on this, and am shown evidence, then of course I would allow it.

Re: OMG, DND!?
Well, the property explanation says:
"Some magic items have a special property that is constantly
active (or active under certain conditions). A
property doesn’t normally require any action to use,
although some properties allow you to turn them off
(or on again)."
And the Warlocks curse is: (long description there)
Once per turn as a minor action, you can place a
Warlock’s Curse on the enemy nearest to you that you
can see. A cursed enemy is more vulnerable to your
attacks. If you hit a cursed enemy with an attack, you
deal extra damage. You decide whether to apply the
extra damage after making the damage roll. You can
deal this extra damage once per round, so if you have
dealt Warlock’s Curse damage since the start of your
turn, you cannot deal it again until the start of your
next turn.
A Warlock’s Curse remains in effect until the end of
the encounter or until the cursed enemy drops to 0 hit
points or fewer.
You can place a Warlock’s Curse on multiple targets
over the course of an encounter; each curse requires
the use of a minor action. You can’t place a Warlock’s
Curse on a creature that is already affected by your or
another character’s Warlock’s Curse.
It is a nondescript ability. Not a power.
It is not a spell and therefore does not need or by any standard benefits from a rod (it is not cast through one). It should therefore exist independent of the rod and gain the full effect of all properties of all magic items on my character.
Also, if i want to nitpick.
rod of reaving adresses the curse itself. (one point of damage)
While rod of corruption adresses the instance my pact boon is triggered, which is in itself independent of placing my curse on something.

Re: OMG, DND!?
On the other hand, the thing might be simply stupid.
A) Depending on how minion heavy you make combats it might be the end all, or no more useful than a normal rod.
B) Depending on how you calculate XP, the warlock could end up witha ton of it, due to single handedly killing all the minions.
C) it takes the last bit of threat from minions making them completely useless for combat.
I'm probably going to get a rod of reaving anyway for a once, per round minion death, but the death wave would simply suck the fun out of good combat.
Maybe I can find another low level property-combo that is not as bad.

I hate to say this, but with the end of my semester rolling about, I am way too swamped and exhausted to stay up late playing D&D this week or next...

Re: OMG, DND!?
...psst guys. We should totally just switch to 3.5th edition like right now. But no one tell Joshua. It'll be great, 'cause 4th is getting on my nerves. Seriously:
No trip attacks
No sundering
No...thing like sundering but different, breaking their weapon or something
No good dual wielding
No permanency
No rogues with Use Magic Item
Seriously, no dual wielding rapiers of death (I believe you could get sneak attack damage with both of them and if you critted the damage would be insane)
No pretty much anything in the Complete series
No sneak attacks on prone people
No awesome 60 foot flying leaps to deliver 300+ damage and paralysis and nausea
No perform
No craft
No wish
No miracle
No controlling undead
Not even Miles O'Brien!
I guess they had better things to do when making this edition.

Re: OMG, DND!?
lol depends on how long we stay alive or if anyone else can survive the 9 hours.
Re: OMG, DND!?
That was fun, besides being post-tired, I started not being able to keep up with my own thoughts.

You guys had a nine hour session?
Holy damn.
Holy damn.
Re: OMG, DND!?
IT was just an adventure path though, since we only had half the players, it would have just seemed wrong continuing.

Re: OMG, DND!?
Awww, anyone wanna summarise? Also, anyone gain experience/die?
Also, what is with you and Pathfinder, D-Darsh? Geez, man. And the reason I wanted to play 4e is 'cause I wanted to try it out, 'cause it seemed cool. Then the horrible truth dawned on me.
...I miss my rapiers.

Re: OMG, DND!?
I like Pathfinder....
We ran 3 new characters
Me:Human Ranger
Reozul:Dragonborn Sorcerer
Joshua:Goliath Warden
First fight Joshua got pwned by a giant crocodile and nearly died until he broke himself out, I missed a LOT, and Reozul destroyed everything in sight because Sorcerers are horribly overpowered essentially rinse and repeat for every encounter all in all Sorcerers are overpowered.

Re: OMG, DND!?
I really like 3.5. Played it throughout university. Though now I find that I"m having trouble finding a group to play with.
The annoying thing is that a guy I work with won't stop talking about the adventures his gaming group have. Though every time I ask to join in, I get the excuse that the GM of the group needs to know me for at least a year before I'll get invited.

Re: OMG, DND!?
Well then simply ask wether you can come along as a spectator.
Or weasel out the name of the GM or some other player and disobey the chain of command.
Also, if you can play online there are actually a few forums that usually have offers to that end. (using openrpg, maptool, skype, teamspeak etc.)
Also, my sorc walked through 4 fire traps (stone gargoyles sewing flames) without taking any damage due to his fire resistance.

Re: OMG, DND!?
Wardens are pretty cool, they can take massive damage, and keep going, at the end of the last battle I would have what like 20 arrows in me?(hyperbole)

Re: OMG, DND!?
Yeah, you were basically playing Boromir with less dying.
