Battlefield what? There's a ton of games in that series.

The Battlefield games (outside of the made-for-console Bad Company series) are pretty much made entirely for online multiplayer and LAN, so "how hard" they are depends on who you are playing against.

Also, I would recommend upgrading your video card. Your current video card will most likely choke on any of the Battlefield games released in the last 4 years.

Yeah, which Battlefield do you want? I've played them all and have opinions on each.

And, I'll agree with FFN, if you can upgrade that video card, do so.

I'm quite confused as to what happened in this thread. Why would the original poster delete his post?

He didn't and couldn't.

My guess, his account was deleted. Wasn't it the same guy making all of those "Story Time" posts?

They're gone too.

Well, if you want to talk battlefield...

I love how EA continually reminds me why I don't give them my money.

I saw those changes coming from miles away. Way back when I was playing in the beta. After the beta, I rightly chose to stay the hell away from BF: Heroes.

I'd like to say that I don't give money to EA, but I continually find that they are a vicious, life-sucking bitch from which there is no escape.

Meh, I've played this occasionally, but I already have other games to pass my time, and this had nothing special for it.

You know, the deletion of the opening post makes it look like Lorithad is asking us what game in the many Battlefield titles he should pick up :D

I've paid my dues to the battlefield series. 1942, vietnam, 2, and 2142. Various expansions for all of them. I refuse to buy any more.

I'm not really a fan of how "MULTIPLAYER OR NOTHING ELSE" it is. Infinity Ward shows that a game can have a decent single player campaign AND multiplayer.

Which is too bad, I would have loved to have played a storyline mode for 2142.

I agree that a sufficient single player mode should be a part of Battlefield. Bad Company's single player campaign was pretty cool, even if I hated the multiplayer in that one.

2142 had the best opportunity for a badass campaign, and they completely dropped the ball there. However, I still contend that 2142 was the best game in the franchise. The way things are going, I'm certain that it will continue to remain so until the franchise finally dies.

Not really directly related to battlefield, but I'm sure you'll be able to use it to get points for bf heroes:

Retarded? yes. Unexpected? Surprisingly, yes.

Bad Company 2 is looking awesome! It'll include another SP campaign as well as normal Battlefield MP. And at least DICE remembers the PC users. Dedicated servers and 32 players FTW! All coming in at $50.
Is it safe?
