Similar to Cybrens thread.
I got a 360 for Christmas and I have no clue what to get.

Only thing I have right now is MW2 and Rock Band. (both suck)
I have most all of the good shooter games on PC so I don't need anything from that genre.

so...

wat i get

Oh well then that's purchase #1, it'll make for a better play experience and increase the life of the console having one.

Fixed that for you. COD4 and Dragon Age are PC games, Dragon Age isn't even that good, Mass Effect 2 and FF13 aren't out yet so you have no reason to suggest them.

Games I really like:
Batman: Arkham Asylum, Soul Calibur 4, Resident Evil 5
Good games that aren't great, or that I haven't finished playing
Gears of War, Halo, Ghostbusters, Brutal Legend, Saints Row, GTA4
Games I didn't like:
Assassins Creed, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, DMC4,

a ps3.

no really. i have an xbox 360 now and it really sucks. the hard drive is limited to 120gig for twice the price of any other same-size hard drive. the wireless is an add-on. the hd-dvd was an add-on (and now a dead format), the rechargeable battery packs for the wireless controller only lasts 6 months (i went through two of those and was about the same time both times). you get the Red Ring Of Death (RROD) within the first year and twice within 3 years (yep, got mine repaired twice, i guess the work they do is only temporary). the online games are priced with points that are the product of a broken microsoft promise - when they were announced you were meant to be able to play the game for some points and USE those points for buying things online, now they don't mean a thing and some acheivements are only online. To play online you will need a constant subscription for around $90 AUD per year. just to play online. memory cards are EXTREMELY overpriced and still limited to 512mb [after the last update you can only use the offical cards].

so really, who wants to own an xbox 360? not me. soon i will list it on ebay as one of the few "online working" xbox 360's.

Shadow Complex is really only exclusive for the 360 that seems worth getting. Wish they'd go and make a PC version already.

Splinter Cell: Conviction is going to be an exclusive.

Rent / Borrow: Mirror's Edge, Prince of Persia, Assassin's Creed, Army of Two (only if you have a friend to play with...it's surprisingly fun)
Buy: Rock Band 2 (it really is an improvement over the first...trust me), Batman Arkham Asylum (dooooo it), Bioshock 1 and 2 (when it is released)

If I think of more, I'll list em.
