Question: Should it really be called "Bioshock 2" if it's a prequel?

I'd think they'd call it "Bioshock: Fall of Rapture" or something. Putting a 2 there makes it sound like it comes slightly further down the timeline. And if they wanted to, they could make the bad ending the true ending, then make the protagonist of the first game the enemy of the second. And the protagonist of the second would just be someone from the submarine.

Considering it is a sequel, I think calling it BioShock 2 works well.

Yeah, the singleplayer is set ten years after the first game and the multiplayer is set right after the civil war kicks off in 1960.

Apparently it's both.

Either way, I still plan on getting it when it comes out. Really enjoyed the first one, and I'm certain the second one will be just as great!

Even though MP takes place before BioShock 1, I doubt it'll have any kind of story involved with it other than setting the stage. The actual game is a sequel.

I would like to think that the multiplayer game is just as relevent as the single player version. I don't know if that's the case of course...

Anyway, my point being that the multiplayer version is a prequel since by the very mature of a prequel, it is supposed to set the stage for the original, and is part of the game that you buy, there fore the game is both a prequel and a sequel.

OH SNAP! (I really don't want a ticket!)

Also yeah, I can also see and unsee it at will. Nevertheless, rather amusing!

Tell that to Lufia & The Fortress of Doom and Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals!
Lufia II is a prequel about the events that lead up to the first game. Quite a few prequels have come second to another game, actually..

Also, Bomberman 2? I'd totally play the shit out of that!

That's what makes it a prequel. If it came before it wouldn't be. It would just be the first one.

It would still be a prequel to the second one.

1 is prequel to 2 and 2 is prequel to 3.

I wouldn't say that's a see/unsee image. I'd say that's a stupid anime & video game concept artist from 1995 who labeled 2 images wrong.
