Just bought this last night when i checked the clock it was 5 am oops

I've almost connected two islands with a tunnel had to plug about 20 leaks along the way but its working i intend to put a powered min cart in there and have a train

If that server is persistent i may have to build one on that.

Multi servers are really buggy still, Chests and furnaces dont work. Anything that you put other items into.

Items on your person and in any chests vanish when you log out on multiplayer, hence why there is a mod (that I think Fugi is going to install in the near future) that allows you to spawn any materials/items you want/need. Once we get that we won't need to rely on Fugi being online to give us everything :D

seems a shame to have to spawn stuff takes out half the game but at least complex cart tracks wont take hours to farm the resources for.

theres also the commands /wood and /iron that spawn you 4 of either, its got a cooldown, but its a nice workaround for getting good tools while the smelting is broken.

/wood only gives you saplings though. Or at least, it did for me.

Derp. Server down temporarily, should be back up in a few hours, just need to settle some things, and install a few mods.

That really depends on the materials you have, the distance you need to go, the incline and the space you have. A properly boosted minecart system can be much faster than canals.

Whenever I try to connect to the server I'm getting a Connection refused message. Is this just me or is anyone else having this problem?

So, I was going to update this last night but LRR crashed.

Last night I had to go from home back to my dorm. As my school internet fails, I can't host a server here. I was going to transfer the world files to a new server on a different desktop and leave that running but didn't have time. So instead I left the new server running with a way to remote in (VNC). Unfortunately, VNC doesn't seem to be working >_>

Sooo, I'm sitting here with a server that isn't set up but connectable and a server that is set up but not connectable, and no way to talk to eachother >_>

I'll try to work it out ASAP. Sorry about the downtime.

EDIT: after some further googling, I found the problem. Which I can't fix until Sunday. If anybody wants to set up a better server before then, let me know and I can give you the world files ;)

I think once mine carts can be connected together and a few other things about them are balanced it will be better there are a bit odd as of now.

I think you should get 20 track rather than 16 seems a bit expensive in regards to iron.

yeah canals suck at inclines they cant go up and down at the same gradient up has to be a waterfall down has to be a slope

I suppose a water fall with a spiral aqueduct might work

Just built a glass dome under water connected to my castle via train tunnel I've sunk way to much time into this

I think I'll stop and wait for a LRR server then start again

I was going through all of those thinking, this can't be his.

shit like that is nuts, and he made it all above the cloud level meaning at anytime he could have fallen and killed himself easily. Also doesn't look like it was done in freeplay or online either, the fuck man!

I'm pretty sure that WAS built in online, probably with the ability to spawn items. That doesn't diminish the sheer time and effort such a monstrosity would take however.

Wow. Just wow.

There are also inventory / map editors for solo play. The map editors are especially cheatisome, as I believe one or more of them have shape tools (ie: point and drag to get massive circle/sphere)

that's definitely tool assisted but on that scale its still impressive.

Oh I started a new world today and something like it would be a good server map basicly its hundreds of mid sized islands it would be a soft way to keep peoples stuff apart plus its more challenging from a survival point of view as your forced to travel.

There's a ton of good stuff like that on youtube, such as an Enterprise-D. My favourite though is a to-scale reichstag.
