Could be worse, I came back to find a giant cobblestone rendition of the word "dick" inside one of the biomes.

Yeah, we're going back through the backups manually to try and narrow down the time period.

It seems almost fitting, which scares me. Seems like whoever built it knew what the island was called.

This time it actually WASN'T me! :D Even though it is Pokemon based again. O_.
I'm worried now though about expanding my home, I know of two close neighbors now, one where I know exactly where their land is and one is just kind of in a vague direction. Are there any techniques to know how far I'm allowed to expand?

I'd like to put out a Massive thanks to Gurei for doing a huge chunk of building work on my house while I was at work!

With the kind donations I think I now have more than enough wood to repair my house and replace torches & signs.

But Gurei if you'd like any planks or logs or anything else I can do to say thank you, you have but to ask.

So I told someone I know about the server and while he was wandering around the spawn town, he came across a chest at the bottom of a mine with five stacks of gunpowder in it.

This is very dangerous. If he can find it without trouble, griefers can too. He said it was near my giant hourglass dirt test (which much more resembles a giant peanut right now). Does anyone know whose this might be?

I'm far too tired to log on and check for myself, but I will do so tomorrow. If I find it tomorrow, I will take the gunpowder and either hide it or keep it at my base, leaving a sign to ask me about it.

I am thinking of continuing the bridge I have attached to my castle south east towards the spawn point on the creative server.

The black line is my rough proposed plan.
Image

Anyone object? The bridge deck is 10 blocks above sea level and I typically place piers ever 17 blocks. However I am flexible with regard to span and height to bridge over other peoples structures. I want to link up with the path between the WARGAR railway station and the spawn.

Just tried out the server for the first time today (first time on a Minecraft server period), and I'd just like to say that the few people who were online were super helpful and I'm definitely coming back.

I've got a little shack set up where I'm getting my survival bearings. I'll help out with larger projects once I get settled into my new place. :)

Totally my bad :p

Was in between projects and had some cobblestone to spare. Not to mention a heavy-curiosity regarding how soon it'd be noticed ^^*

Feel free to away with it, oh mighty monarch of M.

It was my pleasure to help! I'm mostly just glad to hear my "connect-the-logs" repair attempt apparently worked out. :D

Im responsible for that one. I put it there so lansraad could pick it up and use it to dig a tunnel for his subway and then he never came back it seems. ill go pick it up as soon as I can get back on the server (if anyone gets there before me he/she is free to have it. it was stupid to leave it like that.)

I just logged into the server and nothing loaded. Now I can't get back in...
This all seems too familiar... I think I'm crashing the server again :(

Don't worry about it. Just hide it in a chest under some stone or something next time.

Also, Cal, you're breaking the server again.

My guess is that you are loading too close to a corrupt chunk, which is causing the issue. I'll get Xela to download your dat file (which I moved to a backup folder) and try to determine where the chunk is, and restore your inventory ;)

You're awesome, thanks! Now that I think about it, I have been in almost the same exact place each time this has happened. But, that place is in my house-bunker-thing, right around where I am most of the time, so I don't think there would be any chunks that aren't loaded any other time I'm on.
Well, in any case, good luck finding out what the problem is.

As far as I can tell, it wasn't even rolled back to the last backup, but to the one before.

I have been on for hours. The server reported a reboot happening awhile ago so I logged out before it happened and logged in a minute later. I was in the same spot with no inventory change. Was there a roll back?
