It's a megastructure designed to be easily recognizable on Carto. So far, so good. ;)

I just found a pyramid after a labyrinth area...sound familiar to anyone? Still mostly lost looking at people's stuff. Wish I already had a compass.

Does anyone know how big a map can possibly get before it explodes or starts really lagging a server?

Pretty damn huge, it has been recently trimmed.

Have you tried checking the carto maps and looking for somewhere that way?

I don't know how to look at any maps yet from inside the game. Only ones I've looked at so far posted here.

most information can be found in the original most pepin, some is out of date but it's usually a good place to start.

Have you considered the use of glowstone? Then again, I'm not used to the symbols being so bright. Or really standing out for that matter :p

Yeah, I'll probably switch to cobblestone for the symbols. Enough to stand out slightly against the gravel, but not quite so bright.

Are we using the most recent version of Cartograph? It would seem sandstone doesn't appear on the map.

There's a good chance we are not. And there is a good chance we won't until the new server goes online.

They show up...just as black instead of sand-coloured.

Look at the Sphynx next to the great pyramid.

OK, there was another griefing on creative between 6:31 and 7:01 GMT. Again with the lava and glass structure.
The following people were on at the time:
Aris_Shadows, Derksmite, Namaris, schramwise
At this time, due to the number of griefs, we will now be banning those logged on at the time of incident.
To appeal you ban please PM me so that we can try to get this cleared up.

Thank you.

cyberghost wrote:Hey ed,

Glad to see there are other minecarters out there. Here is a current map of what I have done, and am working on.

The main station is pretty much all finished, I just need to take care of a few lingering bugs in the system and add better pedestrian access from shore.

I just finished the Redline from the hub station to my base, I'm going to add a small public station NW of the pyramid to act as a surface access, and a possible changeover point for a further western reaching line (If/when it becomes necessary). Once I have time I may start working on widening it to 3 blocks wide to allow bidirectional travel (currently it's just a single line).

Right now the Pinkline heading south is under construction, at this point I'm just digging out the shaft underneath the bridge. However, it is currently terminating just south of the Cathedral until I figure out the best route to take to get to the hub station. As for the southern terminus It currently ends at the northern shore of where the new city will be, and will hold there until I have a chance to speak to the city planners. about track routing and station placement. Right now I'm working on widening it to 3 blocks wide to allow bidirectional travel.

I these are my short/midterm term plans, eventually I want to try to set up rail lines to every populated region on the map to provide a quick travel means (4 min from my base to hub station!), at least until the portals are working again, even then I may keep laying track for the heck of it.

Happy Carting!

Deep from the depths of the pit rises a new biome. I may get misty.

Oh, and also the rare LRRNAP biome goat

I honestly don't know how it got there or why it didn't leap to it's death.

Fun usage stats because I wanted to know myself:

On creative, 44 people logged in over the last day, 84 over the last week, 182 over the last month (31 days), and 367 since the server began.

On survival, 38 people logged in over the last day, 74 over the last week, 152 over the last month (31 days), and 244 since the server began.

These stats were generated from the dat files in world/players, using the modification time as the time of latest login ;) yay for random numbers!

Finally found the forum for the Minecraft LRR Server. I came on to play and noticed I was banned, and not sure whats the reason. I noticed you talking about glass and lava? I didn't do anything in relation to glass. I did accidentally start a small forest fire by mishandling lava a slight bit, but all that was an accident and it was fixed. Tree were regrown and nothing bad happened of it. I can also vouch for Derksmite and Schramwise, there were near our so called "base" thingy. No one in that group, including me would intentionally grief anyone. I would appreciate to be unbanned and also put them in considerating, too. No one would ever do anything to cause harm or grief to anyone or anything within the server.

It would seem a chunk has glitched and disappeared completely in the middle of the tunnel here. I don't know if it's just me who is seeing it though, since the carto shows no irregularities in the map
