I will give them a few days before I get out my diamond axe.
In more cheerful news my bridge has reached its destination, land just to the west of the arcology. I would like to move the bridge closer to spawn but that is a crowded region and I do not want to get in anyones way.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
Today logged in for a couple of hours to gather some sulphur from my spawner.
I came back 2 hours later and I had collected 20 gunpowder.
this is weird because the spawners usually pumps out a stack or 2 in that time.
I was curious and walked outside to find that there was almost no mobs spawning outside either.
cal27 was on at the same time and afk much like me.
so my question is.
what kind of mob grinder is cal27 using that achieves "peak mob" on the rest of the map.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
Possibly one deep underground?
Massive mob collectors will provide ample room and light to spawn mobs, which will impede their spawning in alternative locations. The same principle will hopefully keep LRRNAP the chief home of animal mobs should they ever be engaged.

I also have a huge one. reasonably the 200 possible spawns should split between us.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
I agree with Jostain, Cal27 must have a massive mob collector. I barely saw any mobs, passive or aggressive. This bothers me to no end, I'm just trying to get wool, and I have gone several days without seeing a single sheep.

Am I really going to need to add rules regarding mob collectors? >_>

Arcology News
Remodeled the entryway slightly and added the walkway safety barriers (Believe me, with as much as a 30-block drop at ocean level, they are entirely justified)
And the latest major addition: Biome 2's Blue Room, for the comfortable observation of underwater fauna without the concern of aquatic breathing.
Biome 2 actually has very little in the way of flooring. This room and the fishing/diving jetty at the water surface up top are the only areas within the main section of it that actually have flooring, everything else is water.

I seem to have mis-entered my name on the permissions list, and it no longer seems to be taking names. Help? o_o
Edit: Thanks Ken.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
I'm guessing a one-name-per-IP policy.
Re: LRR Minecraft Server
I'm sorry for taking everyone's spawns, I had no idea that was happening (or even possible). My grinder is rather ill-designed and I will try and make it less of a mob-hog with some long-overdue renovations, or if that doesn't work, I'll just disable it and build a more efficient one.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
I seem to be having trouble logging in to either server. If I don't flat out get a "connection refused: connect" error I get "took too long to log in" instead.
I've tried c.lrrcraft.com, s.lrrcraft.com, and lrrcraft.com by itself to no avail, even with a selection of cases in the slight possibility it might be case-sensitive.

Yea i am getting all time outs as well, almost always the time out error
Re: LRR Minecraft Server
Made it in eventually, fact that it was timing out could have just been a latency issue.
Re: LRR Minecraft Server
It's an mc.net issue, not us. Been happening all day.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
Greetings, haven't been playing much though recently encountered the missing servers. After reading through about 40 pages not entirely sure of the current goings on but it looks like:
- the servers have migrated but are not running yet,
- a new system to authenticate builders is implemented
- there may be a temp server running?
If I have anything wrong could someone update me on please (I'll bake you a cake). I tried all the addresses on the opening page but cannot connect to anything... had an ambitious project in survival so hopefully can finish that. Thanks in advance for any enlightenment!

The servers ARE up--you can connect to survival through s.lrrcraft.com, creative is either c.lrrcraft.com or just lrrcraft.com. Entering either of the first two links into your browser's address bar will show you the pigmap for the respective server.
Speaking of the pigmaps, thank you to whoever finished the gravel and cobble rings of my Gate.

The total comes to 1512 blocks of gravel, 590 blocks of cobblestone, and discounted labor costs.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
Also, whoever is in charge of the Central Rail station at spawn, I need to show you the location of a problem in your auto-cart sender. I had to unjam it - no worries, didn't have to remove a single block, just shunt a stuck cart - and I'm not sure I could express the location of the problem through text.
Also, whoever manages the UPS complex's rail station: the sheer wall at the end does a great job of stopping the arriving cart, but it made mine explode when I tried to remove it and put it in the collection chest. Methinks a revamp is in order.
