Re: LRR Minecraft Server
Admin redstone re-worked to use just one timer. Hopefully, that will cut down on lag spikes due to block updates near spawn.

Game saved in preparation for the 1.6 update. Y'all want to go pre-release or just wait for official?

Osprey: I've added a stop on the rail line for DeadCreeperJr's new site.
(Also, he found the third StrongHold. Woot! I've claimed it after he didn't want it.)
Disturbingly, BruceRytel's entire place is gone. Someone mined out the whole thing. If that was you, Bruce, that's fine, but otherwise, I may have to shut down the server and go over the logs with a fine-tooth comb.
Edit: BruceRytel has confirmed that he's done that himself, so that's good to hear.
ElFuzzy: You never got back to me about your monument idea. I think the lot across the tracks from the church or the lot across the tracks from the tree farm would be good.
Also, anyone know who's digging a hole to the center of the earth over near the map building? I didn't authorize anything there.
Edit: Apparently, that's Fuzzy's thing that he's building, in a different spot than I expected. I'm not happy with the location, but it can stay.

That's fine as long as you pronounce it scons, not scohns. Otherwise we might have an issue.

I vote official, as it's less fuss given everyone will be compelled to update at the same time anyway.

Added, see bottom of my post.
Also, booray! Glad it's been found, but really wanted that to be me whilst digging under the ocean.

I'll leave the station on the map unless instructed otherwise.

It's a futile effort given that even past bedrock it falls away to infinity, there is no centre, except x-y-z = 0-0-0. But in short, no, I don't, but if you fill it up can I get dibs on the redstone and gold that's been revealed beforehand?

Well, I put the new file on the server under a new name so it's less work to update when the time comes. Just shut off, rename, turn back on, and done within 5 minutes.FourEyedTroll wrote:I vote official, as it's less fuss given everyone will be compelled to update at the same time anyway.AdmiralMemo wrote:Game saved in preparation for the 1.6 update. Re: LRR Minecraft Server
With the advent of 1.6, the whitelist has been taken down. There's still an in-game authorization needed, and I need to re-do the spawn box so it's less manual commands and more just button pressing. But it's functional at least.

Sustained some creeper damage in the inverse tower. Don't have the resources to patch it myself atm so I would appreciate some help. Just went in and got it properly lit.

Seriously? Don't have the resources? You built the thing out of cobble and wood! Both are free resources from the town! Just go over and mine from the cobble works. (Heck, there's plenty in the chests already.) Go cut down some trees and replant.
I repaired the damage and left you a present.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
OK, I finally installed the Nether rail system, and it works. It's not completely safe yet, as pigmen can apparently still spawn on the tracks, so I've got to rework it somehow. Therefore, if you use it, still keep your weapon ready. It's still safer than it was, though, and much safer than just wandering around on your own.

Gee thanks That should keep all the haters out right?
Also I think i took most of the ladders and the wood is part of the problem. I was working with jungle wood which we don't a good farm for so I went out to the deep-ish jungle and took a few small trees

Well, my plan was 1. it would keep out everything but skeletons and 2. burning it would be fun.
Also, I said that you could use the jungle tree for wood as long as you replanted it.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
The station at Smeghead's Oriental Castle has been completely revamped.
The section to Havok's Home is now 2-way.
A 2-way line between Fuzzy's Skull and the Oriental Castle is complete.
Preliminary construction on a line between Fuzzy's Skull and the Bayou is underway.
I'm currently trying to see what I can do with this mess of tracks at Smeghead's Lighthouse.

Well, with Fugi's permission, I've bought the lrrcraft.com domain.
So lrrcraft.com now points to my server: 173.246.103.122
(At least it should after propagation. mc.lrrcraft.com works already, it looks like.)
That should make it a bit more official, and also help bring back the oldbies.
Also, King Kool's rail stop: Now with 50% less claustrophobia!

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
Heads-up to Osprey: Several more rail stops and lines to add to your map. (A couple are still incomplete. One still needs boosters and lights, but the track is there. The other has the tunnel dug and most of the track laid.) Stops to visit to check out the new lines are the Skull, the Beach, and the Bayou.
Also, apologies in advance, as I think you'll need to restructure parts of your map to fit the stops in.
Also, is the Nether Rail currently too simple to need a map? It's only got 3 stops. I've completed what I can of it and it's pretty much pig-proof and skeleton-proof and about 75% ghast-proof (they have to be right above you to see you).

Edit: Updated rail map below, includes over-world relative navigation of the single line through the nether, and the related stations with portals to those nether stops. Thanks to Memo's efforts, all stations now have some form of line colour-coding to aid in relating the map to the tracks as you see them.
