According to the map, I'm at about X -1000 Z 0, with the intention of expanding into a substantial portion of the surrounding woods.

My current project is at X 170 Z 796.

This map thing is pretty cool. Worth the server downtime.

I'm at X:925 Z:-135 and building a Tree-village.
I was planing on populating it with villagers, if that is not to server intensive.
Also it would get quite big, surface wise...if that is a problem I can also build it multileveled.

Depending on how much time I have I would then reconstruct the abandoned mine below...

I'm at 281 -135, but I doubt Memo would delete it, as my build is by now surrounded by others.

Had I come onto the server slightly later instead of right at the start I would probably have moved to one of the ocean islands in the west over 1000 blocks out.

On the LRRcraft server we had an exploration limit. This wasn't really a hard limit as the worldguard plugin wouldn't actually work and put a wall at the edges. We just asked everyone not to explore past (if I remember correctly) -2000 and +2000 in any direction. This leaves plenty of area for everyone to build, but allows the map to remain a somewhat manageable size.

(Also, glad to see my link to Minecraft Overviewer was useful)

I'm getting kind of near the end with the tower, I was contemplating putting a dome or sphere on the top but now I'm not really feeling it. Either way once I finish the walls in the underground bit and put in a few more floors it might be nice to start something else. I can go into one of those more remote corners if that's preferable, I kinda like being isolated.

I know an idea the Osprey and I had was a teleporter to and from a second central hub out in the 1.7 lands, which would give access to spawn city from a distant hub which could serve more distant builds while maintaining Spawn City access. Other options discussed were just building a second community city out in the distance, and connecting them by rail.

The issue is, in both cases, it's a lot of work, as it would require a lot of new rail to be laid out, since it would be getting laid out from scratch.

(Mind you, Memo wasn't in the conversation, so it was entirely just Osprey and myself tossing out ideas to try and get some world out in the 1.7 world chunks.)

Hi again Memo,

Having established my credentials as a tunnel-building jerk, I thought I could offer to make myself useful:

If there's a deserted area that could be reached with a long, straight tunnel from spawn, I'd be happy to build any length of tunnel to it. I'm thinking under water towards somewhere empty. It would be between coordinates stated by you, and to your preferred specification (such as 2x2 with complete stone walls, including corners). It could later be developed into a railway, but that would follow further discussion and inspection as directed by you.

I'd also be happy to stick my house at the far end at given coordinates, so that I'm well away from civilised folk ;-)

Oh my god, you guys! I got Minecraft to run on this old beast! :D I don't know how it'll run on a server, but I'll give it a shot once Memo is done cleaning up.

My house is very close to Spawn, so I doubt it's in danger. Nevertheless, I have two principal construction projects. The first is the mansion, which is at roughly X: 410, Z: 320.

The second is the Fortress of Solitude, or the Southern Home, or whatever it's going to be called. That's at X: 400, Z: 1750.

There is also the underwater tunnel that runs the distance between those two points, of course.

Also, just as a comment from someone seeing the map for the first time: that snow past Templemir and that giant wall is... that snow area is HUGE.

I am currently located at X: -350, Z: 1450, but seen the map in this form has made me realize how small and poorly located that swamp really is. I would like to propose moving to X: -850, Z: 1650. This would move me away from any neighbors, and farther from spawn city. I haven't seen a post with coordinates close to the new location, and don't see anything above ground there.

Also, from the map it appears that there is a rail line that runs to the square dirt building at X:30, Z:1360. I would like to request that the rail line be extended to the swamp near X:-425, Z:1300 to service everyone currently in the southwest corner of the map. It would also make for an easy hub for rail lines running farther south or west when needed.

As I stated in my previous post, I am 100% willing to build the rail lines myself if given approval, a path to follow, and a template section to replicate.

Hi Memo. I haven't found a clear spot to build yet, though I've only logged (roughly) 30min of server time so far. Consider me a transient nomad for now...

Well, my projects are pretty obvious on the map, but the projects/locations are:

The Acropolis (in progress): The region defined by corners at x=520, z=-30 to x=700, z=-150
Great Hall (completed): centered at x=650, z=-225

I have no significant underground developments, outside of what's beneath the Great Hall.

On the server I'm "thelagged" and my tower and terraced farms are at (-245, -531).

I'm glad we've got this overworld map now... I wanted to make a surface road out to spawn, and now I see that there is a rail line fairly close. I might need to put a formal request for a rail stop along that line.

Also, it seems strange that a lot of people are building giant walls to keep people out, or wanting to build very far away from everyone else... Perhaps you'd be better served in single player? I'm not telling anyone to leave, just bringing it up. I guess I am biased... because I'm more into building 'natural' looking stuff. To each their own though. I don't think the server has a rigid style guide, and if it does, it certainly isn't up to me to determine it.
