I have added a few more runes to the whitelist.

Leaf Blower
Hidden Passage
Flash Freeze
Ice Pick
Snow Shovel

I did not add Chrono Trigger as I believe it is needlessly complex, the benefit is negligible, and constantly changing the time could contribute to lag.

Also, I refuse to help you get any runes working, other than teleporters :P

On the subject of Nether blocks, the idea of trading stems from the inability for any player to get them without spawning them, but maintaining the mentality of "You work for your blocks". My current plan is to allow admins access to nether-block kits, which they would then exchange with players for a predetermined number of other blocks. The admin would then destroy the blocks the user gave to him.

The real question now is what the exchange rate should be.

EDIT: Just kidding, the runes won't go into effect until the server reboots later on tonight.

Please voice any objections you may have.

Also pointing to the issue of hellblocks again.
EDIT: With a little imagination, that biome partially looks like Europe O.o

2nd EDIT: Fugi:
2 Iron = 64x Slow Sand as it's practically a gimmick without use
3 Iron = 32x Netherstone
4 Iron = 16x Lightstone (Lights better than Netherstone since it is not extinguished by water)

I think people should avoid exploring and expanding the map if they can avoid it, the map should be big enough to find what you need on it, and we don't want the map to become to large and unwieldy.

Would anyone mind terribly if I claimed this island in the southern ocean?

So we currently have 15 or 16 people on, no noteworthy lag whatsover. This VPS is a keeper!

Otto I think you're safe

also on the nether block trade how about instead of destroying, at least for now, why not create a vault for public works projects, essentially you're then donating to the servers awesomeness, so for the construction of wolfenstein(what's left), roads, maybe the arcology. Stuff like that. That way taking on such huge tasks isn't so daunting and the trading system has a purpose as well.

No lag? Preposterous! The server cap has been raised to 25 in order to aid in the "bring down the server" effort!

Also, interesting idea Fubar, but then what would prevent people from buying nether blocks with the community resources?

EDIT: Current server stats for the past 12 hours. Anybody understand the load graph? :P

Can Admins spawn and de-spawn adminium? Because then the vault that keeps all that stuff in could be made of it, and only the admins'd be able to get in to add/remove it's contents.

Also, I think I might come back and see if Minecraft still gives me migranes. I have a few ideas for something to build, after all...

I presume someone can, since there's a pit to the void on top of the mountain near spawn that's surrounded by it.

That was me. I can spawn any item and remove any block by right clicking with a stick.

Other admins can't.

That said, I could allow admins to use /warp and just make a warp in an admincrete room...

We still have to build that EPIC cathedral you jotted out for us, jester - I might start coaxing people towards that effort after the Arcology is finished...

essentially nothing besides only having access to storage and the honour system I guess, plus the materials would literally only be used on large projects that are to the benefit of everyone, like I said roads, the arc, and the capitol building if we ever decide to build that. things that usually wouldn't be done by random interlopers just here to dick us around. So trustworthy.

That would work, and just take out what we need when we need it. So when we get around to glassing the arcology, we'll offer the best exchange rate for sand and coal. Combine in huge furnace room, put in arcology chests, and it can't be stolen and given back to us as we'll have stopped accepting glass as a preventative measure. For times that we need cobblestone or things that don't have a raw format, just measure how much you give out.

Most of all though, an honour system should work for the materials we give out. We're trustworthy people...for the most part.

Aha! That can be the super amazing spawn structure!

Don't worry about location though, I can move spawn to it once done ;)

I kind of heard that the teleporters weren't working, or something? In any case, if we'll be using boat travel, then we'll need some canals.

Is one of those mods for lockable chests? I haven't tried it yet, but would rather not have to hid my supplies like normal if I don't have to.

EDIT: Just tried logging in, only to find that the server is full! Glad to see the server has become immensely popular.

I have played all day today, nothing more than maybe a hint of lag. Even with a full server things were very playable and fun. I got my house just about finished today. On to the big project.

An 88 meter wingspan aircraft. The Antonov-225 Mriya. Might just build a to-scale representation of the wright flyer inside for comparison (Yes that would fit. In fact, the ENTIRE first flight of the Wright brothers could have been made inside the cargo hold)

Then if we get really bored we could build a 3 km runway for the beast out of obsidian. (3 km's being about the minimum runway length for a fully laden one.)

PS: By the looks of things we might even be able to raise the player cap even further. This is working awesome!

Teleporters should be working fine.

Chests are not lockable, but if that is desired I can install the plug-in no problem

Server cap has been increased to 25, so you should be okay for logging in.

I'll restart the server soon to ensure everything is working properly...

Welp, my first foray into multiplayer Minecraft and I manage to get myself completely and hopelessly lost. I ended up wandering around for close to an hour without finding any sign of civilization.

Sigh. Apologies for being a stupid noob and taking up server space, everybody.

I was looking at potential build sites for the capital, primarily on water (to minimize leveling mountains), and it's looking iffy. East-West, the best bet probably would have being the sea where Lying's building the Arcology. Other than that, I've marked out some potential sites. 300x100 is not a small area.

Desert biomes generally aren't very mountainous and would provide a land based option with little clearing as well.
