Yeah, looks like it's having the same trouble survival was last night. I was able to shut it down, but I'm having trouble starting it again.

Are these servers still treehugger-nerfed, or can we actually use fire like responsible adults again?

EDIT: What about all those mods that got broken back in the day? Are there still teleport glyphs?

Teleport glyphs and runecraft were replaced by the Stargate mod, warps, and a railway system. Fire was re-enabled months ago once we found a mod to disable fire spread.

? Odd, I wasn't aware anything like that had being done.

If you were trying to get on c.lrrcraft.com, the connection refused message would be because that server crashed, and I can't get it to start up again properly.

EDIT: Just checked on the survival server, and as far as I can tell, you're not banned there.

And I was so looking forward to going back to my old castle. . .

Hopefully Ken will be around to fix things soon, because I'm lost with this. Also have to add you to the build user list, since the server will see you as a new user.

From what I understand Fugi has been really busy as of late and is only now getting things calmed down a little. Haven't chatted with him in a while though.

Is it okay if I'm on version 1.6.6? How do I build/dig/etc anything?

Thank you.

(Also the spawn castle looks amazing.)

Sure you can, just post in this forum and ask for build status. and if someones on when you log then we'll be glad to help.

Now, for everyone else (mostly mods and admins), there is a server lighthouse (pictures have been posted in chat a little while back) that needs work, and im bored kinda. so if there are any questions or if someone does not approve just say so :)

Sorry, it's been done.

Well, okay, less of a 'palace', more of a. . . house. But it's made of snow, and I call it my fortress, so that totally counts.

This isn't inherently server-related but I'm sure a lot of you are aware of the upcoming 1.7 update arriving this approaching Thursday. I'm not personally aware of how much it will mess with things in SMP but of course be wary before you update.

Personally, I can't wait. I've already got an idea in mind to apply pistons for a large hidden door that I want to try out.

Friendly Admin Reminder:

Do NOT update until the all-clear is given by Ken on the LRR-craft forums (And probably here). Until we have run 1.7 on our test servers and found a stable bukkit release to go with it the servers will not be updated.

Heya Chad,

I've been rather busy. School wrapped up, and now I'm working full time for IBM. I still try to keep up to date on how things are going, and talk to Ken pretty often about how the tech side is working. I've also got 50,000 other projects I'm developing, half of them for Desert Bus. I'll let you know once they get to a releasable state.

Overall, I try to keep tabs on LRRCraft, but Ken is in charge of most of the server work, and admins keep people happy. I just collect the money and pay the bills.

So yeah, if you really want to contact me, a PM or email at [email protected] is probably the best bet :P

Okay, arcology report.

I've got another 4 floors to do on biome 3, but I'm currently using a model of making one quarter and then copying it over appropriately to the other sides with MCEdit, which is greatly accelerating my pace.

I'm also working on putting in all the lighting in biome 2, which is tricky since I have to use MCEdit there or else I have to keep adding/removing water and suffocating etc.

The farm system of biome 1's secondary portion is under way, I'm trying my best to maximise the amount of space utilised so the floor is half slabs rather than full blocks. Biome 1 itself has a lot of floor work to go but it shouldn't take very long to fill in given it's regular design.

Lastly there's a couple of new features to talk about:
  • To brighten things up inside, I've added big skylights to the tops of the exterior shell's sphere which are letting in a lot more light. I may or may not add a counterpart glowstone flooring to the bottom, not sure yet.
  • There's also a brand new entryway system using the sticky pistons that should only be operable by admins and mods, rather than the general public.
