Could we add Iron and Redstone to that list? Less real-world "valuable", but still things I can easily see people wanting to buy in mass quantities.

I'm also happy to build in the other direction through to Spawn to connect it up, but I am far more likely to hit people's areas then. (That's -1000,474 to Spawn,474, at a depth of 51-53.)

Is there a post summarizing the current iteration of the server? The original post appears to be quite a bit outdated, and as non-Fugi's can't updated it...

Whoever wanted the Netherrack: please empty the boxes in the Nether. They've been filled.

EDIT: So I can keep track:

Anyway, nether HUB Update:

Moved up by portal's owner:
-Eastern Drop Mountians
-Crafing Bench Island
-Boscoham
-AdmiralMemo's Place/Paul Sandbar
-Road_Hog123
-MagisterMystax's Land of Issit
-Clench
-the Squirrel Demense
-Twister Pearl's Nether Region
-Shallowslake
-NF's Salvok Home
-House of Chrusher
-Thimbletrimmer
-Random Swamp
-Glem Forst
-Herbet's Mesa Castle
-New Dewford
-ThinkTooMuch's Estate
-Marcanius's Desert
-ArthurArthur's Butterfly Island
-Temple of St. Bradley
-MyshPoetry's House

Current Portal Connected to new HUB:
-Dockbutt
-Zanpak's Clay Farm
-Bontoon Bluffs
-Corinanin's Prismarine Farm
-ChroniclerC's Home

Moved up by virtue of owner's inactivity:
-James Turner's House
-Scrizati's Farm
-Ender Labs
-Taos's Underwater Waterland
-Corianin's Base
-Deimir's Base
-Big Tree

Portals to Public Works Projects that have been moved up:
-Desert
-SW Village
-Stronghold

Moved up to fix incorrect connections:
-Herbert Hole
-FlyingDutchman Cottage
-Psychogiests's Home
-Church's Fortress (though he may know about this one)
-Fort Dredge(Droddy)
-Mt LRRMore
-Rosevale
-Taos's Mudhut
-AlexAshman's Castle
-Home for Needy Thanatoses
-Leap of Faith Shrine
-Unnamed Portal with no build identification
-Drakmon's House
-Ruke's Tiny Hut

Not moved, but Owner knows of new HUB:
-CptnFalafel's House

Tunnel built, needs portal made:
-Lrrmesses Pyramid
-Ravine Village

Not touched:
-Valkyria
-Trako Manor
-Innovative Testing Initiative
-Innersea
-ff4de's Portal
-Random213
-Nimbalor's Doge Castle
-Someone's Village
-City of Beleriand Portal
-Belerians's Prismarine Farm
-CptSteiny's Mountian Castle
-Ysmault

NOTES:
- While Taos' Unerwater Waterland and Ender Labs were moved up, I did not copy their respective tunnel designs. Could someone do that?
-There's an already built rail system out to Random123. Probably best to either move the portal up and bring the rail line upwards, or dig stairs down. I'd say move the rail line up.
-Trako Manor is housed in a custom-designed building.
-Ravine Village isn't maked in the nether.

It’s Done! It’s finally done! Well kind of.

I have finally completed the structure on my castle, and I’d love for some folks to check it out! While the interior decoration, surrounding grounds and outer defensive walls still need work, the castle itself is done.

This is my first major (to me at least) build in minecraft, I just started playing from James’ streams not too long ago, and I have to say I’m fairly proud of it. I did get some ideas from some youtube vids (mostly Madness64) so credit where it is due, but I also expanded on that and mixed and matched quite a bit.

I would love for some people to check it out, it is fairly easy to get to and there is a horse-capable road all the way from spawn, at least last time I checked on it. It’s located at -1512,65,-1092 and marked here: http://lrrmap.rebellious.uno/ as WokenClick’s Oceanside Castle, just NW of Spawn. Please come check it out! You may remember it from when James checked it out on stream waaay back when, I’ve done a lot of work since then!

As a side note, if anyone happens to remember the date that James streamed checking out a few places on the server, I’d love to re-watch that to see exactly how far I’ve come since then.

There are buttons to the side to open and close the gate, both inside and out, they are somewhat easily missed if you don’t know to look for them.

I know it isn’t as major as a lot of the stuff on the server, and I have a lot of plans to expand it, but I’m pretty happy to at least have this milestone checked off. Sorry for rambling a bit, and I hope you check it out!

Where's your place? I can breed you one.

If you grab a wild one yourself, look to the Savannahs to the North West.

I have 3 or 4 horses roaming around inside my castle. As long as it doesn't already have a saddle on it, or is in a fenced in area, they are up for grabs. Around -1512,65,-1092.

Thanks guys. Next, and harder, question: where can I get a saddle from? I have come across only one spawner so far, and it didn't have a chest, let alone a saddle, so... can I buy/trade one? Is there a good place to look for one?

I've got like 4 saddles. I'll let you have one if we're on at the same time. :-)

Corianin, if you're reading this, MC-73302 was fixed in the latest snapshot, which breaks the popular item elevator design that I believe you used in your Guradian Farm. You might want to redesign your farm so it will still work in 1.9 when it comes out.

I believe I have some in my shop at the mall, along with some horse armour if you need/want it.

Okay, if you go to the East end of the Spawn East West railway, you'll find a new railway system that will take you all the way to Jamestown! It doesn't look as pretty as the rest of the railway station, but it works.

Does anyone happen to have a spare silk touch book?

Also, can I get a quick rundown on how the economy works on the server?

Check SW Village, I think there's a librarian that sells Silk Touch.

Hello again!

I just realised I should probably update the situation with the rail line up towards the north. This is the end of it so far -

Image

So the big news (as of a couple of months ago... sorry!), is that the bridge is finished, and the station at the far end functional. The bad news is... that unlike in the summer, I actually have a bunch of studying to do, and not as much free time. I'll probably be back over the holidays, and pop in every now and then, but I'll likely be quite absent.

So feel free to add to, tidy up, or otherwise mess around with that rail line, and I'd love it if somebody would take it further north somehow, although I'm aware that, as a method of transport, it's actually quite slow.

So here's a map with the end of the line highlighted, for anybody interested in working with it. Either way, I'll pop in every now and then to say hi.

Throughout my Minecraft career, I've fairly consistently found that I get the most enjoyment out of building things in creative mode. At the same time, I'd really like to be around and interact with the LRR Minecraft community while I'm playing. Feel free to say no, of course, and would it be possible for me to request a change to creative mode? Obviously with restrictions like no creating ultimate enchanted gear for people or building giant, lag-inducing redstone contraptions, etc.

Sounds like Sibanamush' old place. I couldn't even visit it on my laptop because the framerate dropped to 0. But that's what happens when you make autosorters and autokilns and auto doors and etc. etc. etc.

I'd argue that was less redstone and more the fact he was in a Jungle with lots of FPS-killing leaves.

Nah, I had fine FPS in the jungle outside his place. But as soon as I went inside the door, the giant autosorter just made it unplayable

No word from any server mods. Hmm... The server itself has been pretty quiet when I've visited it, too. Are people not really playing anymore?
