Yakuza - Day 3

Postby Danzama » 13 Jun 2011, 11:06

Hello and welcome to Japan Today! Our top story: A new gang has appeared on our streets, little is known about them at this current time; police are advising all members of the public to remain wary and report all suspicious activities at once.

In other news an unnamed man has died today of a heart attack at Haruna Shrine. the man appears to be in his early twenties.

The Rules

This game begins on Day One.

At night, those with special night abilities can PM me with their night action. For descriptions of your night abilities, see your role PM.

Night periods typically last 24 hours. THERE WILL BE NO TALKING DURING NIGHT PERIODS. END OF STORY. Once the night is over, I will recap the night events, and post them. As soon as this is posted, it is day once again.

It takes a majority to enact a lynch. Lynching can only be done during the day. To vote, post “VOTE: YOUR MOM”, or something to that effect. Any vote not in bold will not be counted. A “VOTE: No Lynch” will tag you as a non-lynching person. You may change your vote at any time with something like “CHANGEVOTE: YOUR MOM.” Do not vote in mid wall-of-text. Make the vote bold so it is easier to spot.

Your role PM will specify your character name, your role, and your abilities. Any questions on this PM should either be in a reply PM or over IM to me.

Do not post in the game thread once you’ve been killed. This can be construed as influence beyond the grave. Well, maybe ONE post, of like "ARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!"

If I see any emo posts whining about a lack of trust from other players, I will strike you down.

Do NOT quote my post in the thread, or in a PM to anybody else, or I will kill you without hesitation. Role claiming is allowed, but I personally don't advise it

Post editing is suspicious, and if you do it, you might get waxed. Double posting is fine, but keep it to a minimum, please.

You all have been given a name, you will refer to one another by the name you have been given. If you have been given an alias it would be a smart move to use it. you do not have to use your entire name and chances are nobody will know if you're lying. you will not be mod killed if you lie.

Hihi! I'm Chihiro Ogawa! I hope this gang doesn't do anything bad! Then my parents wouldn't let me go out at night anymore and I wouldn't get to go to any parties! :(

And are we all really calling out roles, now? You know everyone's just gonna say "townie".

Hello and welcome to the Lunchtime news.

Police are still gathering information on the new Yakuza that has emerged. Little is known about them at this current time. We believe that they atack their victims only at night. citizens are urged to stay in their homes and to report any suspicious activity AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

By my count, everyone has checked in so far so we're all here. Unfortunately due to the game's apparent theme keeping your name quiet isn't really all that suspicious.

It would be remiss of me to not report to the police that this gang activity coincides with a new man showing up in town...

Yes this is how it begins. You turn the spotlight on to a man who is simply doing his civic duty in reporting suspicious activity to the police in hopes of deterring other good citizens from doing the same. I see how it is, but I will not be deterred by your intimidation.

(( OOC: We should probably get a vote off for SOMEONE because even a shot in the dark is better than letting the yaks get free kills in on us ))
