My solution to playing with people far above my skill level:

Cloak and dagger -> suicide stab -> ruin someone's day -> cry -> play medic instead.

Personally I prefer suicide Pyro.

And lo, did Vanguard descend from the heavens and grace the server with his presence, and he did lead his designated team to glorious victory. Twice.

... and then he did leave without notice, for he had a pizza in the oven and was really hungry.

*cough* Yeah, I'll be back on sometime later.

How long has there been a training mode? Was that something new added with the last update? That seemed to help me more than playing against bots. And I think before I play again I'll need to look up various weapons to see if they do different things since I kept wondering why I wasn't making people invincible with my ubercharge while using the Kritzkrieg.

So yeah, working on trying not to be as much as a noob as I felt last night.

Kritzkrieg does as the name implies: give them crit.

That's been around for a while, and that was all it ever did. Also if you press M in game, and look at the weapon, it clearly tells you what it does.

But they still need to add more to it.
I still get annoyed when my scouting behind is on fire, and I standing right next to a friendly pyro who does nothing, just sits there and watches me die, and me being to far from a health pack to make it.
Not one of em can figure out that they can airblast the fire on their teammates off! :x

Yep. From just Soldier (like you need a tutorial on how to play Soldier), to Soldier, Demo, Engie, and Spy. Those last three, I could see a tutorial being useful. I mean, Engie and Spy aren't the most straightforward classes, and Demo could take some practice for the sake of learning how to aim his shots (people just don't understand gravity). No Pyro, Sniper, Scout, Heavy, or Medic. Though I doubt people really need help understanding Scout, Heavy, or Sniper. Airblast for Pyro? Most people don't think of it.

What would be nice for a major update, is to help the new players with sort of things.
Add more in depth tutorials.
Add weapon demostrations for things besides default stuff, like YER, or targe.
I think the coach thing is a good idea, but it could still be fixed up more to help all the noobs.
And of course more hats. (specifically the one from this week's Feed Dump)
Teach people common things, and add a couple helpful reminders. (That of course people can turn off in the options)
Back during my first month I was set on getting the polycount Scout, and really badly wanted the Milkman, so at one point I got a crate with a chance to get a Milkman, so I when out to find a key. So I smelted down all the items I had, gained 2 reclaimed and 6 other weapons, trade them all for 1 key, (no it wasn't a scam, the trader didn't know anything, he just had a key), opened the crate, and preceeded to die a little inside realizing that I only get 1 item from the crate, not all or the special rare one.
Ah memories.

Sorry I can't do that, it violates my three laws of robotics.

Not like you can tell them to airblast you. You know, with some sort of voice chat. If only such technology existed.

I think what's truly, deeply, missing from the current game is giant mecha for Engineers.

I think Engineers will need to fight a Heavy for mecha use.

Strangely enough there is a Heavy/Engineer tactic that involves a Dispenser directly behind a crouching, auto-firing Heavy called the Human Sentry. A Lv3 Dispenser reloads the Heavy faster than he can fire and also affords him healing, though he's more vulnerable to headshots than just a regular Sentry.
