LRRCraft presents: LRR Dedicated TF2 Server
Re: LRRCraft presents: LRR Dedicated TF2 Server
Well give me a shout on Steam. Those of you who don't have me, (WHY NOT?!) kage_kobura.
Also, don't expect me to play every night. I REALLY need to be in a TF2 mood to play it.

And for that we should be thankful.

Re: LRRCraft presents: LRR Dedicated TF2 Server
Maybe we should form a group specifically for LRR TF2ing, and just give everyone (or all the regulars) power to make announcements. Then, when they want a game, they can just announce a server and everyone in the group can get the message and those who want to can join up.
Seems easier than sending messages to everyone online, to me anyway.

Actually the way we do it is even sillier than that, or at least for me. Most of the time is that one of us just go to a server and play the waiting game, and eventually more and more of us see that they are playing and join in.

Re: LRRCraft presents: LRR Dedicated TF2 Server
I have a server monitor gadget I keep running when I want to get a pick-up game or two in. I can see when there are people online, and which map they're on.

I'll do you one better. I'll put it up where you can download it. It's called Game Monitor, and IIRC it's Vista and Win7 compatible.
I haven't looked for a MacOS equivalent yet.

This update seems amazing, I won't have a chance to play for a while though. I'm super excited however.

I'm not entirely clear on how Doomsday is going to work, but should definitely be fun to adapt my skills to.
And yes, Uber personified within that video.

The "Special Delivery" mode is classic Single-Flag CTF. Pick up the "Flag" and delivery it to a cap point.
In the case of Doomsday, it has a bit of a plr_Hightower twist, as you've got to get the case up to the top of an elevator and unlock the rocket first, but that might not be a requirement in future Special Delivery maps.
and now; back to me.
Re: LRRCraft presents: LRR Dedicated TF2 Server
I'm not sure our TF2 server is up and running anymore. They got a server for HL2:DM. Idiots. Jumping at a dead game.

Major sadface! I went on a 13v13 game there on that new Australium map! I have never got 13 backstabs in under 5 seconds in my LIFE before that!

The LRRcraft TF server had to be stopped when we were forced to downgrade the server due to insufficient funds.

Yes, we all remember the unfortunate decline of the LRRCraft TF2 subcommunity, the Anarchy substitute managed a reasonable level of enjoyment afterwards.
Guess we'll just have to group up on Skype or somesuch and terrorise some random servers with our mildly above-average abilities.

Wouldn't just adding everyone as friends on steam give enough options already? I don't normally have skype running.

Mildly above-average? I got kicked from a bunch of servers today for "cheating"!

Re: LRRCraft presents: LRR Dedicated TF2 Server
I have a list of clan invites that, printed on A5 paper, would almost span my street.
I do enjoy the Reddit servers though, there are times in there I feel like Zeus, when every trespasser within my realm bursts into a cloud of dust, and then there are times when professional TF2 champion players decide to hop on for much the same reason I did in the first place: To make people cry.

Re: LRRCraft presents: LRR Dedicated TF2 Server
TF2 doesn't take too much CPU to run, I just don't know how to install it. I could spin up a server no problem if it was back in demand.

I demand it; you know, if that's cool.
I guess that's really more of a request then a demand.
