Now that Minecraft takes a few less MB of RAM, and TF2 has gone free to play, we decided to host our own dedicated TF2 server.

Now, I've never played Team Fortress. I'm downloading it now and will try it out, but since I have no idea how it works, I can't guarantee anything. Let me know if there are any issues and I'll try to work them out.

*raises hands* For what it's worth, Fugi, I have experience acting as an admin over TF2 servers. A lot of experience, ranging from moderation to actually configuring the server and uploading new maps and such. Keep that in mind.

As there's fewer ways I can screw up in TF2 than in Minecraft, I'd like to throw my hat in admin-ing this as well.

So, any chance we could get the server configured to record replays? Or is that too much strain for that and a Minecraft server?

Also, I've done some light admin work on another server (mostly kicking people who are misbehaving). Though that was a server that had SourceMod installed, so might be different with a barebones server.

So good to know that if I shut down everything else I can actually get some decent FPS and be a consistent credit to my team...except for koth_nucleus which for whatever reason boots me in the face. Still, least I managed to help even there.

Having a slight issue here.
The game starts up just fine, but it will not recognize that any servers beyond those in my favorites list exist. I have restarted the whole machine, and made sure I'm caught up on updates.
Any suggestions?

Sorry about that. Decided to take a quick nap while TF2 downloaded and slept for 4 hours

Issue with giving people access to derp with server configurations is that there is a lot more data on there than just the TF2 server. I'll try to get something set up for you vanguard, because I have no clue what is conducive to fun. In the mean time, I'll get this "all talk" thingy going.

Well, I mashed until my masher was sore (take that as you will, my mouse certainly did) but still nothing. The problem is that "quick refresh" won't come up. I'm pretty sure that if a Steam friend got on the LRR server that I could get to it through another list.

The way I got in was to go into the favorites tab and manually add the ip (tf.lrrcraft.com) to the list, hit refresh, and join. One thing might be your firewall in the background complaining, so alt+tab and see if anything is back there.

Also, All-Talk is now on.
